This sensor has been well reviewed so I won't get too much into that but try to provide some helpful info instead. The check engine light was periodically coming on in my daughters 2005 honda accord (4Cyl engine). The code was for a malfunction in the ETC (electronic temperature control) sensor. Honda has two although this sensor is a replacement for either. There is an upper sensor close to the engine. That one feeds the temperature gauge in the car. If your temp gauge is working fine then that one should be ok. The other one is located in the lower right side (facing the front of the car) of the radiator. This one controls the cooling fan. That's the one that commonly goes bad due to corrosion. To get to that you need to use a flathead screwdriver and pop out about 8 pushpins (easy). Then remove one 10mm screw on the right side facing the car, left if your sitting in the drivers seat). At that point you can move the lower plastic cover out of the way enough to get to the sensor. Some videos i saw had you draining the radiator. I was planning to do that but with the engine cold and radiator cap intact the sensor can be removed with a very minimal loss of coolant (less than a cup). Its key to remove the sensor and install the new one immediately to not lose too much coolant. It's a slow drain but better to just have the new one ready.Anyway after putting the new one in (the old one comes out easy but you need a deep socket to remove it), I usedCRC 05101 QD Electronic Cleaner to spray inside the plug on connector to clean it. After that give the sensor and connector a blast of compressed air to remove any moisture.Connect the harness back and plastic cover pushpins and the one bolt and your good. Afterwards let the car idle for a while to make sure the cooling fan kicks on. For me this took about 12 minutes and it will run just long enough to cool the engine down lower, at that point you know the sensor is working.Overall this is a very easy replacement which really should not take more than 10 to 15 minutes. I had the car up on ramps so it gave plenty of space to work.As for the sensor, it worked as expected and seems to be good value.
