Muy bien sonido e ideal para principiantes ya que es muy sencillo de operar y configurar. Si tuviera unas funciones extras más, le pondría 5 estrellas.

This little thing can make some incredible synth sounds. It's digital modeling, but based on the Roland JP-8000 from 1996, and it features the iconic SuperSaw waveform, which is 7 (seven!!!) detuned sawtooth waves playing at the same time, so this tiny little thing can make some BIG 90s rave sounds. The arpeggiator in it is excellent as well, it makes playing it with the tiny keyboard doable to some extent, though you'll really want to hook it up to a full size keyboard to get the most out of it. The filter is analog and sounds really, really nice, and you can control it via LFO or envelope, or manually. Basically, you get a LOT for your 50 wing wangs with this thing. However, I have one complaint. There is no actual MIDI connection. MIDI is handled through the same USB-C port that you power it with. This isn't a problem if you're using it with a computer, but I would like to use it without one. An extra USB port or a TRS minimidi plug like those Roland T/J/S machines have would have been nice. I'd have been happy paying $10 extra for it, even. Still an incredible product, though!

I don't know if I would consider this Volca sized, it is closer to Monotron sized. It sounds big. The factory patches are quite serviceable in a wide range of genres, it excels at techno/electronic sounds. Almost all parameters are behind buttons with a select and two parameter knobs to make adjustments. Computer software might be more useful for controlling the sounds via MIDI Cc. I will be writing a PureData patch to do this, my eyesight isn't great and the device is quite small and hard to program itself.

For the price tag I expected this to sound like a stylophone. I was pleasantly surprised at the professional quality of the JT4000. This is my first foray into the world of electronic music, so I really wasn’t sure what to do with it at first other than play the keyboard with the pre-sets. However, this synth is simple enough for a novice like me to begin the fine art of tone mastering after using it for just a few weeks. The interface is very intuitive. I have already created a “cello”, “bass” and altered the bassoon setting to be more authentic sounding. My next project will be to create an electric piano setting.A lot of users seem disappointed that there is no midi connection. I understand that it can be used digitally via the USB connection, but my setup is DAWless by choice until the final mastering. I have been using the provided 1/8” aux output to connect the JT4000 to my modeling amp to fine tune the tone before it goes into my mixer. There is some noise which is a slight drawback but it’s at a level where I can bury it in my mixes, so that’s acceptable.I am trying to figure out how to play my midi keyboard through the JT4000 to get more space for notes. My only criticism is related to the lack of instructional materials for this setup.
