Connections
The MA400 features XLR THRU jacks and provides superb noise-free operation. Just connect your mic to the MIC INPUT and send a line from the MIC THRU to your main mixer. You can even use studio-grade condenser mics, as the MA400 will pass +48 V phantom power, if your mixer is so equipped. The PHONES jacks accept both 1/4" and 1/8" headphone and earbud connections, making the MA400 ideal for hardwired IEM (in-ear-monitor) applications, such as singing drummers and keyboardists. The MA400 comes with a 12 V DC power supply and an LED to indicate when it is powered up.

I use a modified XLR to stereo jack where I cut the negative signal and link the positive signal to the second ring. I attach this to a send return output on a Behringer S16 digital snake. I plug this into the line input and use it as a headphone amplifier for wired IEM. I actually have a XLR male to stereo jack cable that is terminated at the performer end with a Behringer PM1 belt pack. This works perfectly and offers the option of looping in the mic (this will be useful when I run out of mixed foldback channels for large groups of vocalists).

1) La construcción y material del aparato es buena y es muy resistente2) El sonido si se modifica ligeramente (creo que se bajan los medios y los agudos). Por esto le doy 4 estrellas3) La entrada de micrófono justamente es para un micrófono.Había escuchado que por la entrada de micrófono puedes mandar música desde una mezcladora o celular o mandar una guitarra con caja directa (obvio con sus conectores y adaptadores). Esto si es posible pero si se debe considerar los PADs de mezcladoras, atenuadores externos o cajas directas de buena calidas, ya que sin ellos se escucha un sonido muy pero muy distorsionado a muy bajo volumen3) El tamaño es muy pequeño, lo que en mi caso es algo muy bueno4) Algo genial es que tiene el botón para decidir si se quiere una salida de forma estéreo o de forma mono. Lo probé y funciona a la perfecciónLa verdad es un buen producto en relación calidad-precio.Lo que me falta, es evaluar si se obtienen buenas señales de salida audio al usar las dos salidas de audífonos al mismo tiempo (la de plug y la de 3.5mm)

Muy buenos, puedes monitorear tu instrumento o tú voz y mezclarla con la mezcla general del grupo y subirle el volumen que tú desees sin afectar a los demás excelente producto

Lo uso para ensayar en la orquesta donde trabajo, el Único detalle es la conexión a la toma de pared, pero es mejor pues no hay límite de tiempo y no pierde fuerza

De construcción robusta; lo uso para retroalimentar a un guitarrista microfoneando su amplificador. Siento que le falta más volumen para situaciones en vivo donde existe mucho ruido en el escenario.

funciona muy bien... pero tengamos en cuenta que: son activos y es para MONITOREO PERSONAL... es decir... la señal de entrada no debe de estar muy alta porque al combinarse con este aparato se distorsiona la señal... los envíos para este aparato los utilizo en un 30-40%... y utilicen MONITORES IN-EARS... que son los auriculares diseñados especificamente para esto... de otro modo, no vas a escuchar con la calidad requerida... yo uso los shure 215 (los básicos) y esta combinación de receptor amplificado y los auriculares me resulta excelente... considerando incluso que mi posición en ejecución en vivo es justo enseguida de la batería....

funciona perfecto, esta muy bien hecho, lo único que no me agradó fué su pobre ganancia, es decir, para música en vivo no sirve, solo para estudio..

Behringer's Monitor Headphone Amp "MicroMON" MA400 is worth the money.The small amplifier is nicely built on a hard aluminum metal case. Despite Behringer "fame" of being cheap, the MA400 reverts this notion with a solid case that doesn't even bend when pushing with my thumbs on either side of the device. Even when I'm trying to bend it while turning both sides opposite, it WON'T BEND!The lower metal corners of the MA400 may be a little bit rough on soft surfaces, and may scratch soft wood or glass tables, but in my case it doesn't matter, I'll use it on a small rubber-surface stand when drumming.The mono/stereo switch on the front is tiny and opposes resistance to being switched, maybe to prevent early wear. The same for the ground lift on the back, it is a little bit softer BUT it wont' switch on/off if lightly touched, it requires a mildly-harder-than-soft push to de/activate the lift.The notches are nice and standard, with a tiny amount of "drag" when turning. I like that, even when on bigger consoles, the notches are more soft, but it feels nice when using it.The package is a standard plastic one, with NO sealed borders (those DAMN scissors-mandatory packages!), just a metal staple on either side closes it. Inside there's the MA400, its manual and warranty slip and its power supply. The PS is 120V 6.5W as input, and 12 VDC 150 mA on its output. (I'll need a 220 to 110 power supply!)Final words: The MA400 meets my expectations of use. As a drummer I need an input from a personal or monitor console and another from my click track. So I may use either input depending of the situation.Buy it eyes closed if you need a sturdy and reliable personal monitor.
