I wasn't expecting a huge amount from a £5 slotted spoon, but my mum needed a new one and is much more discerning than I am. She's very impressed and has provided me with more feedback than I would have thought possible for a spoon, all good! From the slots to the curvature to the handle, everything gets the seal of approval.

The Chef Frog silicone spoon if great for cooking and/or serving. The weight of the spoon is evenly distributed so when you leave the spoon in a bowl or pot it does not fall out...splattering food everywhere. I had a Cuisinart silicone spoon and the handle was stainless steel but the silicone portion of the spoon was light. This caused the spoon on quite a few occasions to to flip out of the bowl or a smaller pot when left after serving the food. The silicone portion of the Chef Frog spoon is strong enough to scrape up and stir up food good as well as be a great serving utensil. The Cusinart spoon I had did not have this cooking capability. I highly recommend this spoon. I bought the mixing/ serving version of this spoon as well. I only wish it came in different colors.

I am about to move and had a few slotted spoons that just drove me bonkers for different reasons such as being too flexible to hold a boiled egg or flaking off on their plastic edges with minimal use. I figured I would prefer to hand them all over to Goodwill or the garbage pail if I could find the "right" replacement. You wouldn't think it would be so hard to find decent stirring, turning, and dishing implements, but it sure seems to be. I am also trying to move toward silicone and wooden implements. I am very happy with this spoon. It was hard for me to tell from the picture if it would have as much curvature as I wanted or if it might be flat enough that foodstuffs would easily roll off of it. But it has a nice depth and width and is perfect for hardboiled eggs and any other food for which one might regularly use a slotted spoon. The stay cool handle and the steel base underneath the silicone are great features.

I do like it. Do I love it? I really haven't had it long enough to say that. I do love the handle. I do love that it wont scratch my pots and pans. It is easy to stir the food around and yes it is easy to clean. Maybe I do Love It. Yes I would recommend it to family and friends. It would make a great gift.

I love the Chef Frog spoons. I've looked around, and I think these are the best thing out there right now. I did something I should have done a long time ago and just replaced all of my mismatched cooking spoons with these. The slotted version of this spoon works well. The slots are wide enough for sauce to pass though while not letting any chunks through.
