What is left can be cleaned up easily by using Big Green Egg's wide mouth ash pan and ash rake (available in multiple sizes). The ash pan hooks onto the Big Green Egg's lower vent door for easy storage. For use with medium, large and XL Big Green Eggs.

Clips in great. Leaves very little mess and makes cleaning out the egg a quick and easy task. Mandatory for egg owners. As a side note I think for the price of the egg this and the ash scooper tool should be included as well as the place setter as they are almost mandatory to use.

Big Egg Users,This thing works like it should. There is a lip under the unit that fits into the vent rail so you collect all ash without spillage. Cost is too damn high like all egg products. Grrrrrr. Bastards!

This was purchased for an XL Big Green Egg. The pan conveniently fits the opening of the ash tray and allows for quick removal of ash. It may be more than I would have liked to spend but well worth the price.

My husband was so happy with this ash pan. It fits the curvature of our large BGE if you know the trick. The front edge of the pan has a little turned down edge that allows you to hook this turned down edge into the ash door track when you have it slid open. The trick to get the pan to fit the Egg's curve perfectly is to angle the handle of the ash pan downwards at around 40-45 degrees away from the egg. This allows the front edge of the pan to match the curve and lets you hook it into the ash door track. This angle also keeps the pan out of the way of reaching in through the open ash door to rake out any debris.

The Big Green Egg ash pan has been a nice accessory for the grill. I was originally using my metal shop dust pan but it did not catch all of the ashes. This is due to the round shape of the egg and the positioning of the egg's ceramic legs. This ash pan has a curved edge. It is made of relatively thick steel and should last for many years if maintained.
