This is a big book with lovely pictures and blurbs about the birds. Found it a bit confusing the way its set up but that might just be me. Will enjoy for a long time.

My 7 year old nephew love the book ant the bird songs. He has been able to identify all the birds in his west coast back yard.

It’s fun to just peruse the pages listening to bird songs, but even better was, on the first of December a western tanager was spotted at a neighbours house here in central Kentucky. I brought the book with me as we went to see if we could view this bird so very rarely ever seen here (this is the 3rd sighting in Kentucky that I’m aware of). We played the call several times. Before long, the bird appeared, then moved to a closer tree, and an even closer one. Probably only 15 feet from us! Such a beautiful fellow!
