Working out great for car camping for a couple. Some minor stains or rust spots showed up on the plates during the initial week of use. Definitely not sufficient to stop use. The set is not too heavy and it's very strong. A lot less money than the name brands from the sporting goods/ camping stores and should last for a few years with out any problems. P.S. the plates are a good fit as a lid for my 8" fry pan.

Good quality stainless steel that is very easy to clean. Have been on weekend camping adventures with it and compact to pack anywhere. It has been holding up pretty good should last for years

We car camp and needed something compact. These are about the size of a full size paper plate with a 1/2 in depth to them. We could eat soup of steak from these plates. It also comes with two bowls and 2 cups. My husband and I joke about the bowls being the dogs bowls. My only negative is One cup fits great inside the bowls to stack nicely and be compact, but when you add the second cup they do not stack as well, it sits up higher than what it should have been designed to sit seeing as how it is a camping set, it adds approximately another 2 inches to the stacked set.

The last time our Cub Scout pack went camping, we went through SO MANY paper plates and cups, which created a lot of waste. Everyone was encouraged to get a mess kit for the next camping trip. I picked this one based on the Amazon reviews and have not been disappointed. I took it this past weekend's campout for my son and me to use, and it worked great. Everything is stainless steel and feels very durable. Some others camping with us had plastic sets that didn't look like they would stand up to much use, but I feel like we'll be able to use this set for years to come. We got a lot of compliments on it. While everything does stack together and fits in the provided mesh bag, I would imagine a more compact kit would be better for true backpacking. Still, if you're going car camping, this is perfect. I'll probably pick up another of this same kit for when my wife and daughter join us camping.
