I can say I am happy with my purchase.I read reviews that it leaks. I have only experienced this when I overfilled it with water after the first iron. Other than that, no leaks. I have been using this same iron for almost a year (I iron a LOT) with great success. The one I had been using was still working, but I decided to buy a new one before the one I was using died. I ordered a 'blue one' and got a gray one. Not a big deal. Since I started using it, it spews out water on EVERY setting - it goes thru water super fast (like every 3 to 4 items I iron I need to add more water) - and the iron itself is super hot. I have scorched the top of the sole plate on the top from the first time I used it (I used the cotton setting routinely on the previous iron with no issues. The cotton setting on this iron on almost every fabric besides jeans leaves material behind on the sole plate) - and now on the top of the sole plate where there is still some material I CAN NOT get off - it catches other material even on a lower heat setting. Sole plate is permanently damaged, and water is still spewing out randomly on the only 2 settings I can use. Guessing it is too late to return it now. I loved my other Allure iron (same exact iron!!) - this one is horrible.

I like the iron as it function well however the water reservoir cover is a grey plastic that it pretty much impossible to see through so you never know when it has too much water until it starts running out when you're filling it. Very poor design flaw.

Wanted the next less expensive model but it was sold out/unavailable so I purchased this one. I purchased this to replace a Rowenta that I had bought a couple of years ago that constantly leaked water drops onto my clothes as I was ironing. Well, almost out of the box this one had a slow leak through the selection display on the main body of the iron. I guess it's just an accepted fact that iron makers don't make them as well as they used to, since I replaced a leaky iron with another leaky iron. This persisted unchanged for a few months, and was 'tolerable,' until this morning, when water was just pouring out of the same location. See video. So this iron is complete garbage, and I would not recommend purchasing it.Update: I added a video to this review (twice) showing water flowing out of the temperature indicator but I guess amazon is not going to show you all this. I guess they don't want to completely discourage people from buying the iron for some reason.

I purchased this to replace a Rowenta that I had bought a couple of years ago that constantly leaked water drops onto my clothes as I was ironing. Well, almost out of the box this one had a slow leak through the selection display on the main body of the iron. I guess it's just an accepted fact that iron makers don't make them as well as they used to, since I replaced a leaky iron with another leaky iron. This persisted unchanged for a few months, and was 'tolerable,' until this morning, when water was just pouring out of the same location. See video. So this iron is complete garbage, and I would not recommend purchasing it.Update: I added a video to this review (twice) showing water flowing out of the temperature indicator but I guess amazon is not going to show you all this. I guess they don't want to completely discourage people from buying the iron for some reason.

I am happy with the heat it puts out to iron the pieces of the blocks for the quilt. It feels good in my hand and glides easily over the fabric.I have not used the steam feature as for quilting I use a spray starch so I cannot comment on that.I do like the automatic shut off features for when it's left sitting or even if it tips over. ((I have three kitties that like to chase one another around and sometimes knock into the ironing board!)Overall a good, economical choice and would recommend.
