original manufacturers make these verticle blinds very weak at the ceiling connector - individual slats break or fail often - this great invention makes the blind connection firm even if the original slat is damaged but I recommend gluing them on for permanent hold

I have cloth vertical blinds with trapezoid windows above. The original tabs were plastic, and the heat from the sun makes them brittle. I am now replacing all of the tabs with these metal tabs. FYI: They looked very fragile, and I was afraid of breaking them. I now realize that you need a screwdriver and pliers. lift the tab with the screwdriver, and use the pliers to squeeze the tabs into the fabric.

We have vertical black-out blinds that are made of a white, heavy, durable, plastic material. They have been hanging for about 3 years. Lately, we have found a number of them are breaking at the connecting point. Which renders them useless and costly to replace. We had thought to turn the blind around and have the rectangular hole re-punched. But this is not aesthetically pleasing. These amazing little clips solved the problem instantly and will increase the lifespan of our blinds for many years. I don't know why manufacturers don't put these clips on when selling the heavy blinds. Awesome product and needs to be in every DIY'rs toolbox.
