Can use for small trips or large trips. Just adjust the size you need. Very roomy and great for storing when done.

IMPORTANT NOTE: You get ONE (1) singular bag (so the description shouldn't say "bags").I got this item for a recent cruise, and wanted something that would be compact when not in use (as there wasn't much space for luggage storage on a previous cruise), but expand to be able to hold multiple items. I ended up putting a LOT more in it than depicted on the last photo, while still only needing to expand it once (so two out of three tiers / the 85L size).This rolling duffle suitcase felt a bit lighter than I was expecting from the item description and pictures (which was a plus), but it still felt like it was built well. Although it didn't roll very well on the cruise ship hallway carpeting (not a big surprise, considering my toddler's expensive stroller didn't roll very well there either), it did just fine on the concrete / interior flooring at the Amtrak stations and cruise terminal.If you pack it tightly with the heaviest things on the bottom, it doesn't tip over (like someone complained about). However, the tiny pull strap doesn't work very well, since the wheels didn't seem to want to glide smoothly in the direction of travel and kept swinging back and forth. I ended up just grabbing and pulling it by the two handles (on each side of the bag, that has the Velcro wrap at the top middle), and that worked just fine.I picked the black color bc I didn't like the brown option, but would've loved for this item to come in brighter colors that stand out better on a baggage carousel.Although I deducted one star total (half a star for the pull strap and half a star for the rolling / gliding), I still absolutely LOVE this bag... I just feel like the item AS IT IS, is priced a bit high... For this price point, I'd expect a better pull strap and/or better rolling. I still 100% plan to use this item regularly when I travel, bc of all the pluses.NOTE: Due to the way I packed, I didn't use the suitcase strap, but it feels like it would work well if you didn't need to expand your duffle at all (i.e., used it in its most compact form).

I always bring gifts on trips to Europe. This case was packed full on my way there, arrived in top condition. It was easily covetable to a smaller size to use for a side trip on the weekend and then packed away within my other luggage for the trip home. Love it!

Functionality would not hold up to it capacity with ease. Kept tipping over with each rolling pull. When paired down to half its capacity, it was a little better. Sides were not sturdy to hold tighly. Did not roll smoothly. Zipper quality was good. Would Not Purchase Again. Will not suggest buying. Would like to return and purchase black bag again.
