The fuel pump is mounted on a bracket with a nut that can be loosened up to adjust the pump height on the assembly. I had to loosen this nut and slide the pump up for proper clearance to fit inside the tank of my 1993 4.0 Wrangler YJ. The fuel pump is half the size of the OEM I removed. My OEM pump has 278k on it and it STILL works. The sending unit doesn't work anymore and the pump whines - which prompted me to replace it. I'm going to keep the old pump just in case. Because I am unsure of this Chinese part. The ground wire also pulled right out of the connector. It wasn't pinned properly into its terminal. After reseating all terminals, the pump does function properly. The sending unit is accurate. And it's quiet. With the key turned on I can barely hear it prime. Seems to provide proper pressure and the Jeep runs fine all throughout the RPM with no notable fuel spikes or drops. For the money, I can't expect OEM quality nor longevity. But I hope it can be an underdog and surprise me with the long haul.Removing the tank in a YJ isn't as easy as it was on my TJ. Especially if you have custom exhaust. It's a tight fit that will require another set of hands or in my case, two seperate jacks lol. But it's doable. But for the frustration involved, I'd almost just recommend to get an OEM pump.Buy once, cry one. And you won't be removing the tank again for a long time.

I ordered this because it came with the gasket, others pumps (on other sites) did not. A reviewer mentioned concern about quality, and this one had a thicker gasket than what I took off, and seems as good, if not better than, what I removed.

Assembly works exactly as it should. The gauge reads properly throughout the range, pump is relatively quiet and supplies proper fuel requirements and the Jeep runs great. The part is noticeably more cheaply made as can see up close, but all seems to work well. How long will it run for is unknown. An overall good inexpensive replacement so far.
