Does what it says, two passes of scoring and the Hardy Backer board snaps as it should. There's no way this can be replaced with a standard box cutter. I had this style and another, use them both and had zero complaints.

It does what it's expected to do. I found it sharp from the beginning & the sharpness has lasted a long time. I cut plastic laminate with it.

Used this to trim some Formica laminate I was using to build a table. Very simple and easy, make a few passes with this tool, then bend it over an edge, and SNAP it breaks perfectly on the score line. Be careful though, it will leave a sharp edge on the laminate! Not a problem, I then glued it down with contact cement and trimmed with a router. I have no idea why you see all the YouTubers cutting their laminate with a table saw, this is so much easier!
