This bit will not get lots of use here. Need to drill through some outside concrete walls for security camera cable. The previous bit simply wasn't long enough.This bit fits my DeWALT 7 Amp corded hammer drill just fine, as do other SDS bits I've tried.I will not be drilling more than a few holes, so I won't have long-term results to report. But the price here on Amazon can't be beat. Less than 1/3 of the price at big-box stores as of this writing for the exact same bit.Update October 2024: Turns out I got a great price here, but the current price, while it's since gone up, is still very good. And when I finally used the bit, it went through concrete and cinder block very well indeed, and there's clearly lots more life left on the bit.

Has plus shaped tip so it starts and guides a straight hole, so that was a plus.

I LOVE IT SOOOOOO GOOOODvery nice bit went through old red bricks into my wall with very little effort I had a 10" masonry bit that I was using to do the same job took me hours just to make the hole bigger so I can pass my cable through it. This bit came to the rescue A+

Use this with a cordless rotary hammer carbide drill bit with great results every time. Have drilled many holes back to back which heated up the drill bit considerably, and it was still up to the task and didn't get any damage. After a hundred holes or so, there is very little wear on the carbide tip (Just make sure to avoid any rebar). The flutes do a great job at removing all the dust that is created from the concrete. Would highly recommend.

I got this bit very quickly, and for less money, including fast shipping, than any other place I shopped. I used it almost immediately with my Bosch rotary hammer to run wire through 14 inches total of masonry, block and brick. It took a little time, but not more than 10 minutes; not bad for a fairly light-duty drill. The hole was clean and plenty of room for the 12-g with ground power cable I passed through it. None of my homeowner-grade drills or bits would have done it in less than an hour or so, and may not have even lasted that long.If I did that kind of drilling for a living, I'd have a bigger drill, maybe in SDS-Max format, and a compatible bit or two. For my uses, though -- and for my budget -- the refurbished drill and new bit got 'er done on time, and on budget.Good bit, good price, and good service. I'd do it again, Amazon.
