This light is great for our desk. We do not have ceiling lights which before we moved we were use to. This has different ranges for lighting and adjustable besides so it works for using computer or sitting and writing letters, etc.

My Dad has very poor eyesight and was using a hand-held light to read by. This lamp is so awesome. Now, he can see all the print in the newspaper or his mail without holding something and the light is directly over his reading material. This light offers the perfect brightness and it is easy to adjust if needed by sliding the finger up or down the simple scale on the base. This is a well built lamp -- high quality. (Plus the lamp arm can bend to adjust the height of the light if needed).

La lámpara es buenísima pero el cable se descompuso a los dos días que llego la lámpara y casa lámpara tiene una entrada diferente es dificilísimo poder conseguir un cable para poder seguir usando la lámpara, pues tenemos dos lamparas las dos sirven pero tiene entradas diferentes del cable y cómo lo dije los cables son malísimos y se rompen con verlos .

One of my older Tensor brand gooseneck High Intensity lamps died, I needed something to replace it. I took a chance on this Bostich lamp even though it's reminiscent of the 1954 War of the Worlds alien ships. It shows up, I plug it in, and find it to be totally no brainer to run. Tap/Touch the front slider membrane control thing and you have continuous control of brightness. Tap at the top and it gives me at least 3 choices for color balance. I always choose the warm white flavors. Very pleasing! VERY easy to use, and I now find it's initially "funny" WOTW retro sci-fi look to be an asset. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Bostich of all people...who knew?P.S. I also point it up against the wall that is behind my 4K TV for "ambience" - works very well. Love it!
