I heard about drinking hydrogen infused water. This bottle was cheap enough that I wouldn't have to blow hundreds of dollars, and I could still see what the fuss is about. I honestly don't understand how any of this is supposed to work, and based on the instructions that were included I don't think the manufacturer understands either. I'm going to ignore the chemistry, and whether or not "infusing" extra hydrogen into water actually works like they say it does, or whether we can actually say there's any true benefit to drinking it. The instructions for this bottle are straight up contradictory, and confusing. It turns on, but I can't even get past the fact that I'm not going to drink out of this until I can clean it, and there are absolutely no cleaning, or maintenance instructions. In one section, they say don't add tea, but then they included a tea infuser. Then they say, 1) add water 2)turn on 3) wait 10 minutes 4) work out. When's it ready to drink, and how long can I leave this sit before all the so-called hydrogen that was infused turns back into a gas, and the water is back to normal water. They added a "drainage drawer", and say to empty it when it's full. I'm wondering why there's a drainage drawer in the first place? On top of everything, it sounds like the water should be hot to begin with, but hot water isn't normally something I'd want to drink after a workout. None of this makes sense. Maybe it's just me, but I don't get it.

There are a number of studies that suggest several benefits to hydrogen water such as being antioxidant, reducing inflammation and others. Webmd has a good article you can reference.I like the large size of this bottle and the fact that it is glass and stainless steel for the most part. There's a silicone gasket, and the base is plastic which does come into contact with the water. I own a smaller one as well and have to run it twice to make water for me and my wife where this one I can run once. The glass bottle can be unscrewed and removed for cleaning. The base using you can use a citric acid cleaner on to remove scale. This didn't come with any but my smaller one did, so I am familiar with it.The battery life is good and I get quite a few uses out of it before needing to recharge. That said, the instructions are not that clear or complete. The unit has a tea diffuser but the instructions state only to use water in the unit and no other beverages, specifically mentioning tea, so I am not sure if I can put anything in it or not.I also don't like the charging cord that came with it, while the one end is USB A, the other is a standard adapter jack. I would have preferred a USB C or even micro USB for a modern electronic device. That way if I ever need to replace it, I won't have much difficulty finding it.The on/off button is supersensitive, so I am often turning it on accidentally when handling the unit.

Before getting this, I didn't know that hydrogen water was even a thing. However, I thought I would give this a try. Initially after putting water in, it hardly produced any bubbles. But the more you use it the more bubbles it makes. Thus far I have only had to charge it once and I have made a lot of jugs of hydrogenated water. So what does water with hydrogen taste like? It tastes like water. If you are the infuser type, you can do that too, however I have not. I was initially dubious that this thing actually made hydrogen gas, but I did a test or two and can confirm that the bubbles are indeed hydrogen. I cannot claim any health benefits from this, I certainly don't feel any different. Apparently all the health benefits are happening inside if they are happening at all. I am sure more studies will have to be done to determine if hydrogen water is actually beneficial. Having said that, this does what it says it does. It puts hydrogen into the water. The downside, is cleaning. The part that makes hydrogen is not removable from the glass pitcher, it is electronic, so you cannot submerge it. Also there were no instructions in the box, so I don't know if you should use dish soap or not.
