Well this is most unfortunate. I loved this and bought 2. Now the mold is in the steamer channel that cannot be cleaned or taken apart. And it’s making a loud obnoxious squeaking sound. I clean this constantly & use a little vinegar to keep mold at bay. Don’t work. This device molded up in less than 2 months even with regular cleaning as those areas cannot be reached :( And it’s just exceeded 5 days after being returnable.UPDATE:Seller reached out to provide a full refund. Thank you.The squeaking sound actually stopped. Not sure why it started after the cleaning.I still cannot properly clean the mold spots but will be soaking the upper casing and hope it works as I really do like this device.

For winter, I needed a small humidifier with simple on/off to use with a smart plug. This one has worked perfectly.I've had it for two months now, I haven't even turned it off once, I've just kept refilling it. No issues, and has stayed very clean. I have it near a window with sunlight, but I do think the see thru sides also help with not growing as much gunk as others I've had with darker sides. I've checked the sides and bottom and no slime so far.I fill it with a Brita pitcher I keep in the bathroom, the larger Brita size fills it up about 3/4 and then I refill as needed. Plus, the top comes off for easy filling, literally you just pick it up by the edges, you can even do it while it's in use.About halfway up, it lasts all day, full steam ahead, maybe half a day. It's kept my 20x10 room at about 30-35 percent humidity in super dry winter pretty my digital meter. With a smaller room I'm betting you'd get a much higher percentage with less humidity.Overall this thing was exactly what I needed: a big reservoir, easy fill top, simple on/off with easy to use rotary dial. Definitely worth the price asked for a small to mid-sized room.

Got two of these, one for living room downstairs and other for bedroom upstairs. I find myself filling with at least one standard pitcher (2qt) per day, most of the time twice on the lowest setting past ON. It only lasted 10 hours on FULL setting, so not really as described. Don't mind ... very quiet, no more bloody noses from dry air in 3 weeks, and I've come up with a refill routine. Good quality at reasonable cost, would buy again. Note: it does shut off with no water left and red light comes on. I've only let that happen twice now.
