This is a great sauce pan. It's hefty , as is the lid. It's gorgeous sitting on the stove, so well made. I've seen many lesser pans for twice the price. I wish Amazon had more Breville products. One caveat: It is a hefty pan, especially when it's full. A person with wrist issues or arthritis might not do well with it. It really could use a helper handle, but since it's 1.5 quart pan, they didn't add one. Other than that, it's a real value for the money! Treat it right and it will be a friend for a very long time.

As it happens I had to replace a lot of cookware in my kitchen at once and I ended up buying several items from different brands. I own induction cooktop and not every piece is compatible with it. And this time I was determined to go high end, spend more and avoid buying stuff every several months, I was kind of tired of it.I bought 8 ounces stock pot, 2 ounces sauce pan, Saute Pan, and Frying pan. Heat distribution is excellent. The same dishes I cooked before in cheaper pots and pans taste better. They are easy to clean. However pans developed scratches. I never use abrasive sponges, never put it to dishwasher, never use metal utensils, never use harsh soaps. I am determined to make it last. It is a bit sad that after such treatment they are still a bit scratched. I would not say it is too big, that it is a major issue. However I want to inform other buyers.I bought 2 Ozeri pans. When soaked in soapy water they are just wiped with gentle sponge and they are clean. Heat is distributed evenly. They work superb with induction. Food comes out very tasty. There is no scratches, to be on a safe side I purchased 2 OXO plastic spoons to keep it this way but I am not sure it was so necessary, I just wanted them to last longer. I never use dishwasher, again, to have them longer, but I am not sure that I need to do it this way. I must say I never owned cookware so superb in every directionComparing to All Clad. I bought All-Clad NS1 Nonstick Induction Sauce Pan from other than Amazon site. I am extremely angry with All Clad.- After 2 months nonstick surface was peeling off.- The advertise that it works with induction, it does not. I have 3 induction and 2 non induction burners, so I can still use it but since I mostly use induction burners it makes my life harder. Considering that I paid 45 dollars for it I think it is sad- They promise lifetime warranty. I complained that I cannot use it as advertised and that it peeled, sent photos and in their response they skipped induction part and said that scratches and peels are normal tear and wear.Comparing to Ozeri. I bought Ozeri Professional Series Earth Ceramic Fry Pans, 2 of them. If I would compare Breville and Ozeri, Ozeri is more even, and does not scratch. To summarize for types of equipment that is sold by Ozeri(they don't sell 8 ounces pots, for example) I would recommend Ozeri over any brand I own. But Breville is really good, I am happy to own their pots and pans.
