I bought this machine to help start my business sewing and embroidering dog bandanas and it’s been wonderful!! Very easy for a complete beginner and has managed through some thick fabrics (like corduroy). I hope this machine lasts me a long time!

Puedo opinar de principiante a intermedio. La mejor elección para tu primer máquina de coser. Tiene un abanico de opciones increible, muchos artilugios y vectores para trabajar, remendar o simplemente intentar algo diferente. Muy fácil de usar e intuitiva

Es una máquina muy completa, me encantó, de verdad es maravillosa, en costura recta, bordando, haciendo ojales. La amé!!!La recomiendo ampliamente, no se arrepentirán de la inversión.

Sin problema alguno. Estoy satisfecho en todos los aspectos. Tanto en la compra, precio, y entrega del producto. Considero que comprar por Amazon es muy seguro y confiable. Anteriormente me daba miedo, pero ahora compro con toda la confianza a no ser defraudado. Solo me debo de tomar el tiempo necesario para escoger un buen producto y verificar que este en un buen precio. El resto queda en manos de Amazon y hasta el dia de hoy todo me a parecido muy profesional y las entregas en excelente tiempo.

Es fácil de operar, viene con la pantalla a color.. generas un archivo .pes para el bordado donde integre la imagen a bordar, lo metes a un USB, lo insertas en la maquina, seleccionas bordados, seleccionas la USB y ahí te mostrara en pantalla los archivos que reconoce como imágenes de bordar, tal vez te muestre otros que pone como desactivados y esto se debe a que su tamaño supera el tamaño en dimensiones de tu bordadora, en este caso solo le bajas del tamaño a menos de 10x10 y las reconocerá.. solo tengo una queja... del equipo SE425 a la SE600 no cambio prácticamente nada solo que ahora es mas grande y robusta y tiene la pantalla a color... debieron haber actualizado el área de impresión al menos a 12 cm por lado y hacer mas grande la pantalla pues quedo igual de chica, eso si a color... pero en fin. Cómprenla.

After my $80 sewing machine died from mass producing masks for everyone & their mamas (surprised it survived that & 7 years of my crappy sewing habits that exceeded its capabilities & limitations), i decided that it was time to invest in something I could be proud of. My heart was set on the Singer One sewing machine. It was a perfect blend of beautiful & futuristic but deep down I felt there was more to be desired. After reading an overwhelming amount of scary & negative reviews, I felt the Singer One definitely wasn't the machine for me. So I researched Brother and to my surprise I found this beautiful machine, the SE600! I was only looking for a basic sewing machine, maybe with a little extra & found the SE600 had an option to embroider YAY!! To tell the truth, I kinda procrastinated a bit to try it out when it was delivered bc I was secretly intimidated by the fact that I hate dealing with computerized errors. Well, the instructions were very clear & easy to understand. It explains what to do if you run into a problem & that definitely put my mind at ease. When I got the machine to stitch?? OMG...... it sews like a frigg’n dream guys!!!!! Its so smooth & quiet I think I could rent it out to put babies to sleep. AND it does all the little tedious things for you that I had come to terms with during my pre-SE600 life. Yes, that’s right: it threads the needle for you, you could probably leave the room and leave the bobbin winding, It raises the needle for you w/o turning the hand wheel, it sews w/o a foot control (I think they threw one in there just to help people sleep at night bc otherwise who’s heard of a machine w/o a foot control?) AND it even cuts the frigg’n thread!!!!!!! WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't realized how much time I was waisting by dealing with all of these annoying little things!! Also, I used to think all stitches were created equally, but I was wrong bc those perfect neat stitches??????? That’s WHATS UP, lemme just tell you. The fabric grip is steady & it stabilizes very well. I haven't explored the embroidery aspect of it, but I’m pretty excited to get around to it. My only complaint was that the SE600 was so hard to find in-store or online to purchase. Im so fortunate I found the last one on Amazon. Also, just remember that you have to take the time to read through the manual to understand the do’s & don’ts. Once you've familiarized yourself with it, the experience will only improve from there. I hope you get it bc its an amazing sewing machine!!!!!

Bueno por fin la use a fondo, compré diferentes hilos y en todas se rompen (muchooo) aún cambiando la tensión, el área de bordado es muy pequeño pero cumple con la función, en un bordado de 30 minutos lo hice en 4 horas por qué el hilo rompia, y no quedó bien, la ventaja es que ensarta el hilo muy fácil, la usaré con hilos más gruesos a ver qué pasa. A pesar de la ruptura constante del hilo estoy conforme con mi máquina, al menos hasta checar otros hilos, tiene muchos tipos de puntadas y puedes importar tipos de bordados.

Si estas buscando una máquina de coser, no veas en ningún otro lado, aquí en Amazon están mucho mas baratas y según me dijeron en Brother, con mi comprobante de compra tengo la misma garantía de 1 año en México. Brother tiene refacciones y centros de servicio en todo el país por lo que puedes estar tranquilo(a).Yo conozco poco de máquinas de cocer, la compré para mi esposa y sobre todo por la función de bordar pero ya tuve oportunidad de usarla (le ayudé a coser las fundas navideñas para los cojines de la sala) y la verdad fue de lo mas sencillo.Puedes elegir la velocidad a la que cose por lo que tienes oportunidad de aprender sobre la marcha y sin miedo y todo el proceso de poner el hilo, la bobina, etc. es muy sencillo y solo requiere de saber seguir instrucciones (el manual está en español). No se usa el pedal y te da la opción de reforzar el inicio y fin de una costura además de que corta el hilo!!! Incluye el pedal por si lo requieres pero funciona perfecto si él.De acuerdo a muchos videos que vimos antes de decidirnos por este modelo, ésta máquina es una de las fáciles de usar y si tienes mas experiencia, podrás sacar provecho de todas las opciones de configuración que incluye para cada puntada.La función de bordar es un mundo aparte, pero no es nada complicado. Cuando recién la desempacamos, hicimos pruebas de coser y bordar y también es la cosa mas fácil. Obviamente hay que tener idea de lo que estás haciendo, el tipo de tela el tipo de hilo y sobre todo elegir el diseño y colores adecuados pero en cuanto a la ejecución (bordar) es cosa de 3 minutos para montar la tela en el bastidor, ubicar el diseño y presionar un botón para que haga lo demás sola.Definitivamente es de uso doméstico o para un pequeño taller de costura. No creo que aguante un uso comercial intensivo, sobre todo porque el tamaño máximo del dibujo es de 10 x 10 CM. Hay otros modelos que ofrecen mayor area de bordado pero su precio es mucho mayor.

I'm a sewer. I had my old machine for 40+ years. When it came time to tune it up, it was cheaper to buy a new one. (Not this one.) But I wanted the embroidery part as well as a sewing machine. This machine will spoil you! It truly threads the needle. None of that "just hold the thread in one hand and push this leaver with the other and it should thread it". It does! (I check many other machines and they do not really do this.) Sure, I can still see to do it, but darn, I'm spoiled! It's so fast and saves time. Also, cuts the thread when your done. Yeah, yeah, I own scissors, I can cut my own thread. Okay, spoiled there too! Who knew that would be enjoyed so much? The "sew" button lights up red, when you can't sew, green when you can (Yellow when you forgot something). It's making it harder and harder to teach my grand kids to sew on a standard machine. Also, I was old school. No foot petal? What? Yeah, very nice! Now when I use my serger, it seems odd. Then there's the warning "you're almost out of bobbin thread". It warns you and stops. You can start again for a few stitches and it'll stop again. Repeat. Lift up your fabric to see how much is really left. Maybe you can finish your seem. I was sort of bothered by having to do that. Then I was using an old machine, ran out of bobbin thread, didn't know, kept sewing, only to find out at the end of my run. So yeah, another spoil! Well, I don't like saying this, but this old girl deserves to be spoiled!It's a computer, so it'll tell you what's what (on the screen). Like, "lower your pressure foot". Or when I didn't raise the marker for the button length, when I was done with the button. So it's nice to know, instead of saying to yourself, why isn't it working? Or having to problem solve.I have embroidered, but not a ton. It does a very nice job of it. It's easy enough to do. It's fun to add another layer to your items with embroidery. Changing the thread for every color is the time consuming part. I don't have it all down, when it comes to where to put my area I want embroidered. I can be "off", so I've embroidered first and cut my piece out after. I just haven't spend that much time on it. But what embroidering I did do, I realized that I want to be sewing while the machine is embroidering (instead of just sitting there). So I bought a second SE400. That is how much I enjoy sewing on this machine. I wanted to spend less for my second sewing machine, but when it came down to all of the spoiling features, this was what I wanted to use all of the time. It really is a wonderful machine. I've never had any issues with it sewing "off" or pulling to one side. It's a dream to use. (If I could, I'd buy this machine for each of my grand children.) I highly recommend this Brother SE400 for a sewing machine and it's a bonus that it can embroider! I do not have one thing I'd change about the SE400. The embroidery area is 4", so that limits your larger patterns, But you pay for the larger size. I can't afford that. This offers so much at a very good price. Even has a great warranty. If I could give it 10 stars, I would!
