My 10 year old is very picky about the shoes he will and won’t wear: they have to be the right style, they have to feel a particular way on his feet, and they have to be easy to put on. I took a big gamble with these shoes and ordered them without asking for his approval. He was reluctant when he first saw them but tried them on anyway…and was sold on them the second he slid his foot in and realized how comfortable they are!These shoes look like a formal shoe but my son says that they fit and feel more like his favorite daily athletic shoes. He especially loves the internal sock-like lining that sticks out under the faux leather. They fit true to size but I ordered a size up so he has a little room to grow. My son loves these shoes so I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone trying to buy shoes for picky kids!

Pros: Looks, price. These really make a 7 year old look like he's ready to join the casual work force!Cons: None noted so far.

Picked up these Bruno Marc Boy's MaxFlex Dress Sneakers for a wedding. We needed to look fancy while keeping my son comfortable enough to make it through the whole ceremony and reception. He complained that they were a little stiff when he first wore them, but I think he got used to it over time as they broke in a little bit. He might wear them one more time before he grows out of them, so I'm glad they're pretty affordable.
