I wanted stainless flat head socket cap screws to add an interior handle to my barrel sauna. These matched perfectly. Unfortunately, given the length I needed, I could only find them painted black. I expected that removing the coating would be easy. I was wrong. Nothing, including Goof Off, acetone, and muriatic acid made a dent in the finish. Significant heat from a heat gun finally worked. These are technically self-tapping as wood screws are, but they are not self-drilling with a slot through the end threads. In addition, these are socket cap screws and not countersunk heads. At least the seller's images are correct. Please offer these screws in a polished finish!

I can only guess why there are so many titles/descriptions that are just plain false, and this is one.They are good screws, but...1 star off for false title/description.1 star off for Rando Brandnamian.

Solid little screws. Hex drive for ease of use. None stripped out or sheared off for my use. Nice clean black finish. Good value.
