I bought this to look inside my walls for routing LAN cabling without cutting larger holes everywhere. The device is packaged neatly in the box. The scope pipe is wrapped in a cycle and the unit on top. There is a slot for an SD card to record video and take photos. this is great when you are getting in tight spots for future reference.The settings on the device are easy to follow and change. The pipe connect goes into place but the connection at times seems a bit loose. Wish there was a manner to lock it in place to secure it. The camera works great with the built-in light. Careful, the tip does get hot due to the LED light being ON.I have found many more uses for this around the house and car. I've used it between walls, heating ducts, water drain pipes, and under my car to get a better view of things. When using it in water drain pipes, it's suggested to place the tip of the probe through a ping pong ball or similar. This will keep the tip level and away from the pipe walls. It will also help from gunking it up more than it will in those pipes.This gets a 4 star only because it doesn't come with a carrying case. I have been using the original package box. Eventually that box will fall apart or break. I also can't get the pipe to wrap tightly enough to let me close the lid. I'm good if they don't supply one but if they could refer to another vendor who does have one would be great.

We are building our own house, and found a cracked plumbing fitting embedded in our floor, which terrified me... imagine spending months laying a gorgeous clay floor, and then having sewage seep up through it once you are up and running!We looked for sewer cameras that could travel 50' and they are mostly designed for professionals and run in the $thousands. We picked this one for the depth of field and dual cameras. We have nothing to compare it to since this is our first borescope, but we think it is the coolest thing!The view is nice and clear, and switching between cameras helps with navigating and better inspection.All good, and we can move forward after fixing that one fitting at the start of the run. Plus, no packrats nor snakes to be seen in our lines. Phew!I can't wait to use this to check on our experimental vermifiltered septic system once that is online, and to check that the lovely clear effluent is delivered evenly in our soakaway bed!

Upon arrival I found my borescope packaged really well. In fact the box and foam packaging will serve as a permanent case for my scope. The scope itself has great picture quality and a very good-sized clear screen. The lighting on the end is fantastic and auxiliary lighting on the back is a great addition. It also has an additional camera on the side of the probe giving you a secondary view of where you place the probe.The recording and photo ability has not been tried yet but is going to be a useful feature. Also comes with a magnetic tip attachment to help find and retrieve magnetic items in tight places. I know I will use this in the future as I am very capable of dropping things down places I can't get my hands into! For me this scope came with more features for less money than anything I could find locally at the home improvement stores. Fifteen years ago or so, I used a long borescope for my work. It did not have near the quality or features of this one and cost $7K! The only problem I have had with this scope is there are no clear instructions on how to switch from forward to side camera. I finally found the switch on the light cable itself where it plugs into the screen. Overall I am very happy with this scope and would recommend it!
