I really didn't expect this head to be as good as it is. it's honestly replacing my sachtler head... it's so smooth, incredible metal build quality. so good.

Ill be using this video head for adventure landscape photography. Excellent product, perfect finish, smooth operation with adjustable gain for tilt and panning. Easily balanced with long lenses.

An Arca compatible fluid head, which is hard to find. I was drawn to this head due to the tension adjustability of both pan and tilt, features that are found on much more expensive heads. I feel this head is the right balance of quality and price. It certainly seems well made and I look forward to putting it to the test on an upcoming trip.

I consider myself semi-knowledgeable about cameras, lenses, lights etc.--at least to the extent they're used in ways that are now lumped together as 'content creation'. I don't try to pass myself off as a 'serious photographer'. In fact, I really like all of the equipment on the market that lets technology do the 'heavy lifting' such as the Nikon Z-30 or Sony ZV-1. Don't get me wrong--I have nothing but respect for 'serious photographers' and at some point would like to immerse myself deeper in photography as an art form. For now, I really like the fact that I can put together decent quality content quickly and efficiently. One photographic tool I'm just now learning about is the tripod. Until recently, tripods kinda all seemed the same to me. As long as it felt pretty sturdy and easy to use I was good. I then picked up what was the best quality tripod I'd ever used at the time. It was probably something that would be considered mid range to somewhat who knows what they're doing but it was a revelation to me. It had a bit more of a learning curve, but it also was capable of doing so much more--and doing it so much better--than the low end ones I'd picked up at 'big box' stores.I want to learn more about tripods, so I've started scouting around online and lurking in digital photo/video forums and even forums for serious birdwatchers. It's taught me a lot--not only about tripods on a macro level but about the way that users who *know* the equipment well view certain brands and models. This review will offer some of the insight I picked up there as well as my own thoughts.I love Leofoto equipment. I now have several pieces from them and it's all well made, solid, functional with great attention to detail. Even their midrange equipment has a 'top of the line' feel to it. I have one of their carbon fiber tripods and it amazes me how it can be so light and portable, yet at the same time burly to the point of feeling indestructible. This item has a lot of the attention to detail I'm talking about--for example, the handle that can accommodate right and left handed users. My wife is left handed and I'm right handed and you'd be surprised how seldom they're accommodated by even high end equipment. As far as the functionality, I think it's great. The head has a tilt angle from +90 to -75 degrees, multiple bubble levels and a quick release plate. There's pan control on pan and tilt. I've used it with a variety of different equipment types and it worked great in all cases. The pan and tilt feel smooth as butter--at least to me. Some of the bird watching experts were talking about this head and there were a couple of issues in their view. They wanted more a more accurate adjustment method to get angles, etc. locked in more accurately. A couple of users didn't think the pan was as smooth as they'd like, but that has a lot to do with personal preference. All I can do is speak to my own experience and I've loved all of the Leofoto equipment I've acquired--including this fluid head. As a fairly experienced 'content creator' looking to upgrade my tripod game this head is a winner. Highly recommended!

Needed a tripod head for video work for my new startup venture, but didn’t want to spend big bucks with a name brand one, as these video heads can get very pricey! Well, glad I came across this one. The product was really nicely packed and protected. It instantly felt high end and quality before even seeing the product. For the video head, wow, it is really nice in terms of quality feel and for its build. Extremely well made and all adjustment controls feel like a much more expensive product than it is. The product came with some overly simple instructions. I had to refer to it at first, but worked it all out in the end when actually shooting with it.I love the arca mounting plate which makes my workflow much simpler. I love the dual sided handle that I can adjust to fit my exact needs and comfort.Overall, I actually have no complaints with the video head. Maybe I need more shooting time with it to see what bothers me, but so far, this thing feels great, works great, and feels expensive. There might be some fancy features missing on this product but for my basic needs, it is perfect. Precise and crisp to use. It is butter smooth like it’s moving in oil. Hope I can get years of use out of this. This video head represents fantastic value. If you need a basic video head at a decent price, get this!
