Even though the lid is plastic material, it has not leaked for us and we have used it several times over the past few months. The glass is thick and the size is large so you can do large batches of tea and lemonade. It is easy to take the lid on and off and easy to clean as the jar has a wide mouth opening. The pouring spout is easy to use and doesn't go all over the place.

The glass pitcher is well made. I love it because I use powdered drink mixes and hate having to use a long spoon to stir them. This pitcher seals so I can turn it upside down and shake it. I supplement with electrolyte minerals so there is always some that settles on the bottom. I give it a good shake before pouring. Love it.

So about me...I have really bad arthritis and carpal tunnel in my hands infact I need surgery on my thumbs because of sever pain and it is hard for me to grasp things that are very wide. I buy a certain brand of milk that comes in these plastic square containers that are wide and cause me pain when I try to grasp it. I got this for every day use to put my milk in because I thought the handle would help me getting milk. So far so good. It holds a whole thing of milk. The only thing I can ding it on is that it isn't easy getting the plastic top/cap off to wash it and refill it.

Love how easy to pour out of and to keep extra milk in the fridge. Feel it was a bit pricy for just a mason jar with a plastic lid but still really like it.
