First time going with a fingerprint safe, and first time with this brand. Came a few days late, but that’s the shipping company’s fault and Amazon gave me some money back for it.Mounting was easy into our floor. Set up was made simple and the prints work MOST of the time. Make sure to set multiple prints on your two hands so if one finger doesn’t work another will. I got fire and waterproof pouches to put our documents in, and my pistol fits in nicely as well. Huge space saver!

とても便利に使えています。高かったですがいい買い物をしました。通常の事務机の引き出しの２段目にピッタリ収まりました。ただ必ず寸法を測ることをおすすめします。上開きなので引き出しを完全に開いて本体全部が出る奥行きがないと，収納できてもフタを開けることができません。amazon.comの方では指紋認証がうまくいかない，という意見もありますが，説明書には，自分の指紋を複数登録すればよい，とあります。同じ指でもちょっとずらして複数回登録すると一度で開くようになりました。但し，一人での使用です。複数人で開け閉めするような使い方はしていません。もともとはガンロッカーのようですが，拳銃一丁だけというには大きめで，A4のファイルがちゃんと入ります。かんぬきが異常に頑丈で信頼感があります。ちょっと心配なのはバッテリーチェッカーがないことで，毎日開け閉めしてる自分のような使い方なら，たぶん電池が切れかかってるのは音や動作で分かると思うので大丈夫でしょうが，たまにしか開けない場合は不安かもしれません。ミニジャックがついていて外部電源が差し込めるようなんですが，仕様がよく分かりません。電池が切れてしまったら，緊急鍵しかないかもです。

I purchased this product to store a firearm after we had our first child. I keep a pistol, magazine, and a flashlight in this safe and I store it under the bed. The purpose of this safe, for me, is to keep my toddler out while still having relatively easy access to a firearm in the unlikely event that I need it. It is not theft proof, bullet proof, unhackable, or fool proof. It does, however, keep little infant hands away from your firearms. The bio-metric system is easy to program and works pretty much every time. I programmed each finger on both of my hands and my wife's hands. It seems to work every time. The safe opens quickly and fairly quietly. It is not loud at all, but you can hear the bars rolling back. You can open the safe after about 1.5 seconds. If you want a heavy-duty, theft-proof, anti-paranoia safe...this is not for you and you will need to spend more money and get something heavier and bolt it to the floor. If you want a high quality safe that will keep little toddler hands out while being easy to open when intended for a decent price...this is what you have been looking for. It works very well for what it is. I have no problems opening it. My kid cannot get into it. I am happy with this purchase.

disregard all the reviews complaining about fingerprint issues and unregistered fingerprints being able to open safe. that may have been a problem at one point if you weren't smart enough to test out unrestered fingers, but really... who wouldn't test unregistered fingers on a FINGERPRINT safe. if you have only one safeguard for a safe, you're an idiot if you don't test that safeguard. this leads me to believe that the negative reviews are bogus or from idiots.the safe is solid. it came well packed. it came with solid and accurate instructions. it came with multiple warnings to make sure you register fingerprints correctly. it fits well under a bed, so if you're looking for safe storage for a firearm, this does a swell job. keep in mind if you plan on bolting it down, under bed storage wouldn't work since it a top opening safe. its a little smaller than the front opening version for the same price, but that one would be less convenient for firearm storage. this is just the right size for one or two guns, a couple magazines, and room to spare. fingerprint reading is quick and foolproof. even with its 2-3 second unlock time it's as fast or faster than any other unlock mechanism that i can think of. even if you mis aim and have to re-do, its better than fumbling in the dark trying to open a combo safe.hidden key access is a neat trick in the event of batteries dying. there is also some sort of power jack on the bezel, which i believe i read allows for supplementary power if the batteries die, it doesn't come with a plug for it though so i'm not positive this is the intended function, but i think i read that somewhere. this is not a fire safe so disregard reviews criticising it for something it's not intended for. and this is not a fort knox safe. it's steel and solid, but not meant to deter every possible intrusion, but it will without a doubt deter mosts threats and access by unregistered users.totally impressed for the price. will definitely consider barska for future safe needs.

This is the beat safe I've ever bought. Because you can store up to 30 finger prints in it I believe, I used my same finger and recorded it in as many different ways as I could so that no matter how I put my finger down on it, it will open. Works 100% of the time for me. Nice design and sturdy construction, the dual lifting rods for the door work very nice as well. And it shipped to me in under 5 days which was a bonus. This Is the safe you want to get.
