Purchased two of these. The door's on both don't seal and allow water to enter the enclosure. If you need an outdoor rater enclosure don't buy this brand.

As a hobbyist/DIYer, I find this to be an extraordinary project enclosure. The things I love most about it:It's inexpensive - at well under $50, it's affordable.It's made of ABS - ABS is easy to work with; easy to cut, drill, tap, etc. (A good step drill bit is your friend when working with these). It's also compatible with many common solvents and adhesives, and, since the manufacturer clearly tells you that it's ABS, you can easily determine which.It's roomy. Typically an enclosure this large would break the bank.It has mounting "ears".It has a tab on the door/body for a lock or seal. A lock is pretty pointless - you can break that tab off with a pair of pliers - but a seal is useful, so at least you KNOW if it's been tampered with.The mounting plate is a dream come true, especially if you tend to use stuff on breakout boards.It's ventilated - the vents on the sides are designed to protect from rain, and screened to keep out bugs.Why is it not perfect?It's not terribly strong. Strong enough for most projects, but not as strong as some other alternatives.It's not IP66 or better - only IP65. It takes some care to ensure that the door seals are lined up - the body can "bow" a bit. I wish that the side vents were optional - i.e. that you had to punch them out yourself. Also, the bottom has "perforated" pieces, intended to be punched out, but which allow liquid ingress into the box even if not punched out. The box is weatherproof - but with slight design changes, it could be "waterproof" if desired.
