When I was a computer technician, I used the silver tool box, wore a tie, and worked on projects in a nice, clean, safe office. Even a cheap tool box would last a few years.But, now, I'm working on communications gear, antennas and emergency power for the field and mobile use. My pretty silver tool box was destroyed in a week. I was looking to replace it when I found this one. I have a different kind of Keter box and I love it. This one resembles my brief case and it's tough. Not only that, but it's half the price of some of the cheaper ones.The first week I had the case, it was knocked off a vehicle onto the concrete hard enough to have destroyed my other case. I have a small zipper case that fits perfectly over two compartments exactly the same as the parts bin does on the left side, but it doesn't interfere with the tools in the lid. This layout protected my antenna analyzer and multimeter I store under it. The right column tools were shook up a little and only the screw drivers remained in their positions in the lid. But, you have to know where to look for the mark on the case to find it and the case is still as good as new.Storing the tools in the lid is not as convenient or easy as it was in my silver case, and I don't think, in general, that they are as secure, even with normal handling. Screwdrivers are perfect. They aren't going anywhere. It's a tough push and pull to put them in and out, but this is a rugged box, not a coat-and-tie style case.I would have hoped for a few more tools to fit in the lid, and I miss the lid not being reversible for more tool organization. The parts bin prevents putting tools in the lid over where it sits, but to be fair, the parts bin is very important to me, so I'm not complaining about the space it takes up.I removed the dividers from under the parts bin where I store longer tools. On the other side, I removed one of the dividers and store not as long tools. The center still has three compartments and I cover two of them with a zipper bag of tools I use. Under the zipper bag are my electronic tools. In the lid, I keep two sizes of each flat and Philips screwdrivers and smaller wire cutters and needle nose pliers. The rest are kept in the compartments that they fit in.This case, as tough as it is, is only good for a minimalist tool kit. This is why I bought it. I'm only keeping the minimal tools for light wiring work I do very often. I have a more conventional tool box for larger and heavier duty tools I don't often need for my typical wiring work.If it weren't for the zipper case with smaller tools I am using, I would have had to store my electronic tools in a protective box of some sort, which would have been doable, but less convenient.I don't like giving 5 star ratings as I believe the fifth star should be reserved only for the highest quality and value for the money. Even with the limitations I listed above, I don't think Keter could have designed it any differently and it still be the same size. This box is as tough as I need it to be, it holds all the tools I normally use in the field and it is price is far less than it's value. This one gets all five stars!

Overall this is a pretty good case (with one main concern). It is ruggedly built and has decent rigidity. Equipment placed in the case would be secure. Clasps open easily but lock securely. The price was really good and about half the cost of similar cases.The main downside is that my tools just didn't quite fit. I placed screwdrivers in the top lid, but the spacing left a lot of room so only a few could be stored. I ended up just dumping them into the main compartment. Unfortunately, this didn't leave a lot of room for the other things I needed to store such as a multimeter and other geat.So, great case except that the compartments were either too large or too small for my needs. I ended up giving it to my brother who finds them very useful.

Holds my electrical tools nicely, and should work out well to keep tasks organized. The lid accommodates smaller common electrical screwdrivers, and will hold a wire stripper of flat design, but thicker pliers need to be placed in the lower compartment. Might be somewhat small for a professional electrician, but adequate for home projects. Looks ideal for a mobile technician in computer/small electric work. It appears sturdy, but plastic construction should issue caution against rough handling.

This is very good quality. I use this for hobby tools and for the most part is near perfect.My only complaint is the size of the storage bins are just a little to small.for about half my tools but it does have removable dividers. The dividers add strength to the case so the more you remove.... the weaker it becomes.The price and double walls make this a steal.

Let's start by saying that I am not a construction worker, nor do I have many tools. I have an office job and used to keep my tools in a plastic box. As the years went by, there was need to "organize" myself a bit more. I have basic tools, nothing fancy nor exhaustive. I simply needed something to get organized. So I looked around and got this. This box is really nice. I think it could handle a decent amount of abuse and still be fine. It fit just about everything I needed except my hammer. My hammer is 13 inches and I believe most hammers are about that size or bigger. It was a downside but for what I needed and wanted, it wasn't a big deal so I still kept the 5 star rating because the box sizes noted were correct, so it's on me, not on the box. I would recommend this.
