I’ve been using a filer type ones for years and I thought they were doing ok. However I’ve been fighting algae for a year.After putting in the 75micron socks I can definitely tell a difference. Glass is staying cleaner much longer and so far two of these last about two days before I see them starting to fill up. If you rinse with hot water right after they clean up pretty easily. The fiber ones I’ve used is have to bleach and put in the washer and they still came out kinda gross. Just bought more

It filtered well without any leakage.Took some doing to get a good washout due to the pull strap shortness making impossible to turn inside out for best washing, but it did wash well enough for next use.

Quality product, but 50 micron version needs washing out every ~2 days on my aquarium!Be sure you want this level of filtration before purchasing.

This is simple and easy to clean. It doesn't capture as much as the felt socks, but does okay. Will try the 200 micron and see how that works.
