I'm a little on the short side. So every pair of pants I buy end up with a bunch of extra cloth at the hem. If I was a cowboy, that would be great. But I'm not, so having excess material at my feet is not great.When I wear these shoes, there are no laces or buckles to catch and hold the bottom of my pants. Instead, my pants have a nice line to my shoes, that looks right, not like a mistake. That's why I initially got these pants. They're not big or clunky like kid's shoes or boots. They look like they belong on the feet of a mature and distinguished gentleman.They fit well and have a different kind of last. Basically, a lower than normal heel, so they feel like slippers. I got the brown because they will go with more of my clothes. These are made with faux leather, so I'm pretty sure they'll hold their shape and not stretch out all over my socks.If I were to commend these shoes to one primary activity, it would be dancing, they are very easy to slide around on. So far, I have only worn them once, but the compliments they got, from the ladies, makes them well worth the price.Or maybe my exceptional fancy footwork, was really what the ladies most.

I love a good Chelsea boot as they go so well with most of my fashions when I'm out on the town, so i couldn't resist grabbing a pair of these to review. Bottom line is they fit as expected and after a few hours wearing, they still felt great and I'm planning on putting them into my regular rotation of footwear.If you're into companies that are actively using renewable products, this seems to be a pretty good option since everything from their box to the stuff making up the shoes is from recycled materials. The box claims loudly that these are vegan, but I wouldn't want to eat them for dinner (heh heh...). Not sure how one can call petrochemical byproducts vegan, but okay - the only suffering the dinosaurs did that created the oil that constitutes the materials these are made from wasn't man-made (though getting caught in a tar pit or asteroid explosion couldn't be particularly wonderful).That said, what about the quality of the boot? First thing I look for is how the sole is attached to the upper and in this case, it appears to be adhesive-based, not stitched. This does not bode well for long-term wearing, though if you keep a tube of Shoe Goo around, you can certainly extend the life of this type of sole when it invariably detaches from the upper.And while this is trumpeted to be vegan, it really looks like leather both inside and out. They are VERY shiny out of the box (unlike the somewhat dull look on the order page) and as I didn't hop around in any dust, they have stayed pretty shiny after my first wearing. I do worry with vegan-like uppers that they will begin rapidly cracking along the fold lines created as you walk. So far, after only one wearing, the fold lines are mildly visible, but don't appear to be creating cracks in the outer surface yet. I'll report back after a few months use if they do begin to show up (Like that have for many, many of my non-leather shoes).I am typically an 11.5-12 with a regular width and a 12 fit me perfectly. I would say if you have a wider foot, you will certainly feel cramped in these, as they are reasonably narrow.The images on the order page show a rather large ring on the back of the boot that you can slip your finger into to help with pulling the boot onto one's foot, but my pair has a rather small ring that I can barely fit my finger into. Its not a huge deal since the fabric and elastic flex well and I was able to slide into the boot pretty easily with dress socks.I even had some folks notice the boots the evening I first went out with them and they commented they were quite nice. So if you don't take my word for it, you can take theirs!

Considering that these boots are made of non leather components, and considering the price difference, these boots are a great value.I am happy with the quality overall. Yes, I wish that the soles were stitched on and not just glued on.Even though they are narrow, they feel good and are comfortable and stylish.The narrow look is deceiving because my toes don't come close to reaching the end of the boot.My ideal size is 7.5. I ordered size 8 because of the narrowness of the boot. Now I regret not ordering size 7.5. I'm sure that with socks, size 8 will work fine.

At first I though these slip-ons were so uncomfortable I wouldn't be able to wear them. But they are easy to slip onto, so I did wear them, and they broke in beautifully. Great, solid shoes. May get another color next year.
