I put 5 stars for durability but I don't know yet. It will be near salty marine environment so I will oil keyhole time to time before it corrodes.

First of all the ad says the lock was around 5 inches overall, and it is instead over 8 inches. I had to cut it down. Second it was rusting right out of the box, now is almost covered with rust including the lock. I live in a dry climate area. Terrible lock. If I new it was over 8 inches I would have gotten a different lock even if I had to pay more. The only reason I bought it was it said it was 5 inches

This is a heavy duty hasp/Lock, but it has sharp edges that can cause cuts to your skin. (See Picture) I used a grinder to remove the sharp edges, but it removed some of the shiny plating on the edges. Those edges are showing some rust as a result. The manufacturer should remove the sharp corners and edges before plating the metal.

Nice lock with key hole on the bottom when mounted with the included brackets. Not possible to make another key though, my locksmith tried several blanks but the included keys are thinner than anything available in the US. I ended up buying a different one because I needed more keys for it.
