A great replacement, but fare warning, there a anti theft chip in the upper part where the key pivots. Make sure you transfer that to the new case. The chip has zero markings and looks like a broken piece of plastic. The car will fail to turn on with out this chip.

Bought a 2009 Mazda 5 "wagon"Mini-minivan in (2010 a 1 yr. executive lease return) low milage, but only had 1 key fob. So for all these years, I just had 1 fob. Just changing batteries when needed. Well just got new cr1620Batteries from Amazon and the old fob is just worn out, so this new one is just right. New outside, I took key blade of old, inside "motherboard" of old, new buttons, new chrome all around, new battery & put it all together. Best of old & new.
