Worked perfectly. Had the keys cut at the local hardware store for 10 bucks. Installed the fob internal chip from the original keys and everything fit great.

Presumably, you are ordering this because you have an existing key and you just need a new plastic case because the old one broke (or the screw mount is no longer working)....because this item is supposed to just be the case. I just wanted to swap my innards (key + electronics) into the new case.Unfortunately, the blank metal key comes fused with the cheap plastic case. It cannot be removed without breaking the case itself. So you now have to get a locksmith to cut the blank key into the new key...or just find another case that will only take a minute to swap out...as this product should have been.

I was not sure if this is going to work for me but I ordered this. The key metal is attached to the shell and you really can’t use your old key with this one So I thought to return this but I thought let’s find some locksmith who can duplicate my keys into this. Luckily I found one locksmith who agreed to cut these into mine for $60 and than I just transferred the inside from previous shell to this one and it came out to be perfect. Saved $200 for the same from dealer if u go.

Honda keys suck. They break at the plastic. Bought these for our 2011 Odyssey and had them cut at a local hardware store - it was spendy (about $20 for each key), but we had 2 broken keys and it was so worth doing that vs. spending 2 hours at the dealership to have them "reprogram" the keys (which is totally unnecessary) and charge us HUGE amounts of money (I think over $150/$200 per key) I initially took the entire part out of the original key fob casing (with the buttons) and put it into the new casing - the casing didn't quite fit together exactly so I went a layer deeper and transferred the battery and guts to the new housing. Super easy and worked like a charm. These keys feel more solid than the original Honda keys do. You will need an eyeglasses screwdriver for the tiny screw in the back. All in about $75 for two brand new keys. Note - these do not replace lost keys - you have to have the insides of your original key(s) to make them work. Highly recommended.
