It says it will fit a 17” lap top. It might if you have a super thin laptop. I have two 17” laptops, one two years old and one five years old. They both fit in the bag, you just cannot seal the bag so it defects the reason for the bag.

This is a review for Caredgitz Extra Large Faraday Bag.I rated this 5 stars because it’s functional, large, and cheap. It blocks cellular, Bluetooth, WiFi, and KeyFob signals. For the price, this signal blocking bag is a great value for items that need RFID protection.This bag is large enough to hold a 12.9” iPad or a 15” laptop (with a protective sleeve). It can also be used to hold a bunch of keys or credit cards. While effective at blocking radio signals, there are some downsides. The carrying handle is not convenient to use because it’s at an off angle, so anything heavy (3 lbs or more) will pull this bag to the side. The outside material feels sticky and picks up loose fibers, so it’s unlikely to be a fashion statement at a party. And this bag is made of a soft material, so additional protection (such as protective sleeves or cases) is needed if you’re concerned about the objects inside being crushed.I tested this bag’s signal blocking capability using a laptop computer, tablet computer, and mobile phone and confirmed the bag successful blocked Cellular, Bluetooth, and WiFi. I also tried using my car’s remote control, this bag blocked the signal. The bag’s exterior is at least water resistant after testing it underneath a running faucet.

If you're the type that diligently covers their Webcam with stickers, you'll probably want to have some of these bags around. You can be certain your work tablet or any other device isn't spying and transmitting data while it's inside one of these radio blocking bags. Put a phone in it to test, send it a text message and - nope nothing just as intended. The signal is blocked..Also good for preppers that want to safeguard backup electronics or data in the event of an electromagnetic pulse. No way to test just how shielded this is, but it's definitely better than nothing.

After a recent solar storm, it occurred to me I should probably be a bit more conscious about protecting my devices. It's a complicated proposition because what good is it having a working cell phone if the cellular network itself is fried? Having said that, I decided to get a bag to store an old but still functional computer, cell phone, and hard drive backup. I can't attest to how it would work against an EMP of course, but the bag did completely block the signal for multiple connectable devices that I tested. So I suspect it would be effective at hiding things from electronic snooping. There were weird fibers that looked almost like fiberglass all over the bag and my skin got itchy after handling it. I would recommend using gloves when handling. This isn't something I'm going to carry around with me - I'll stash it in a closet with my other emergency supplies - and for that purpose it is fine.

Fits my MacBook Pro just fine and does seem to block RFID, RF waves per my RF meeting. It doesn't block 100% but does reduce exposure and it's nice to have a bag sized for laptops. This said, the exterior has a sticky coating on it that is a pet hair and dust magnet so don't love that aspect. If the material was a smooth nylon or something that didn't feel sticky, I'd like it even more.
