I recently purchased the GUWIEYG portable electric vehicle charger, and it has been a fantastic addition for charging my electric vehicle. One of the key features is its J1772 compatibility, which works with all J1772-standard vehicles. This reliability makes it a great choice for various brands, although if you have a Tesla, you’ll need an adapter. The charger supports both Level 1 and Level 2 charging, featuring a NEMA 6-20 plug for 240V Level 2 charging for quicker charge times. Additionally, it comes with a NEMA 5-15 adapter, which allows it to fit into a standard 100V socket for Level 1 charging when needed. This flexibility makes it ideal for different charging situations. What I particularly like is the smart control feature, which includes a 2.4-inch LCD screen and physical adjustment buttons. This lets me control charging time and current remotely, adding convenience to the charging process. The clear LED indicators on the control box also help, as they show the real-time charging status, alerting me if there are any concerns. With a generous 25-foot cable, this portable charger allows for easy access to my vehicle's charging port, even in larger garages or parking spaces. The lightweight design, along with the included storage bag, makes it easy to carry and store in my car, so I can charge anywhere without hunting for a public charging station. In terms of durability, this charger is built to last. It withstands impact, pressure, and wear, with a fireproof, IP65 waterproof design and silver-plated copper alloy contacts that help prevent overheating and provide excellent conductivity.Overall, the GUWIEYG portable EV charger offers quality, convenience, value, and safety, making it an excellent choice for anyone needing a reliable and efficient charging solution. Highly recommended!

GUWIEYG might not be an easy to pronounce name but it is a brand that experienced EV owners are well aware of. I've had a number of their products and they've all been first rate. I got this to upgrade my wife's portable charger. It has a NEMA 6-20 and a NEMA 5-15 which adds versatility--and that's important for what is essentially a charger for emergencies and other unexpected situations. One really nice feature is the 25 foot cable length which is something you don't always find even in high end chargers. The interface is simple but it does the job--just insert the connector and it goes to work. The LEDs and LCD screen on the front of the case give you information on the charging process and indicate any type of error. The charger is well made with the built in protections you expect from a quality product (eg: overcharging, undercharging, overvoltage, etc.) and has a IP65 waterproof rating. It also has a carrying bag to keep it organized and protected until it is needed. For a home charging setup you'd probably want a more robust device but this is perfect and more than capable for a portable unit. Highly recommended!

I recently got a 40 amp Level 2 charger for fast charging my RAV4 Prime XSE P/P and it is a very good charger. It is excellent quality, has a very informative LCD screen, comes with all the accessories and a very rugged carrying case. And the J1772 is smooth as silk plugging in and out. With the majority of EV chargers that I have used, the J1772 plugs are very tight and hard to get in and out.I needed a 16 amp charger with the 6-20 plug for my travel charger and this one I found is excellent. It's very well built and the J1772 plug slides in and out super smoothly just like the Toyota Level 1 charger that came with the car. This 16 amp I just got is obviously made by the same manufacturer as the 40 amp I have. They are identical other than the company selling it. Plus this one allegedly has Wifi capabilities but the Wifi is nearly impossible to set up and uses a very generic, catch all app that sucks so it is all but useless. That part sucks but you won't find a better charger for the money other than that. This one is obviously also the same excellent quality, has a very informative LCD screen, comes with all the accessories and a very rugged carrying case. The wiring is super heavy duty and looks like it will hold up well.I would give this one a 5 plus star rating if it weren't for the lousy Wifi part. If you are looking for a Level 2 16 amp charger I would highly recommend this one. I don't think you'll find a better one.

This portable level 1 & 2 EV charger offers a versatile and travel-friendly solution for EV owners, supporting both 120V (level 1) and 240V (level 2) charging with a 16A capacity. One of its strongest advantages is its compact and lightweight design, making it ideal for those who need a portable charging option. The 25-foot J1772 cable provides flexibility, and the inclusion of both NEMA 6-20 and NEMA 5-15 adapters enhances compatibility with various outlets. Additionally, features like adjustable current settings, a delay timer, and smart app controls add convenience for users who want more control over their charging experience. However, the 16A limit means it’s slower than higher-amperage level 2 chargers, making it less ideal for users who require fast daily charging.Despite its portability, the charger’s reliance on a NEMA 6-20 plug may be a drawback, as many homes lack a compatible outlet, requiring users to either install one or rely on the slower NEMA 5-15 adapter for level 1 charging. While the smart app control is a great feature, Bluetooth-based apps can sometimes suffer from connectivity issues or lack advanced Wi-Fi-enabled functions found in higher-end chargers. The lack of a hardwired option also means it may not be the best fit for those seeking a permanent home charging setup, as it is primarily designed for portable or temporary use. Furthermore, while many portable chargers offer weather-resistant designs, buyers should check for an IP rating to ensure it can handle outdoor conditions effectively. Overall, this charger is best suited for EV owners who need an affordable, flexible, and portable charging option. It’s a great secondary charger for travel or emergency use, and its smart features and adjustable current settings provide excellent value. However, those needing faster charging, a hardwired home solution, or guaranteed weatherproofing may find better alternatives. If you have a NEMA 6-20 outlet or are willing to install one, this charger is a reliable and budget-friendly choice that balances convenience with essential features; just be mindful of its power limitations and setup requirements.

This portable Level 1&2 EV charger has been a great upgrade from the standard cord that came with my car. It works exactly as advertised, and the 25-foot length gives me plenty of flexibility when parking. The app control is a nice bonus—super intuitive and helpful for adjusting current, setting a delay timer, and keeping track of charging sessions. It's made daily charging much easier and more efficient. The build quality feels solid, and the included NEMA 6-20 plug and 5-15 adapter make it versatile for different setups. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable and user-friendly EV charger.
