Though the item does work as advertised, it only did so with several sessions of technical support. Then, once we realized the plug was loose internally to the box, they would not honor their one-year warranty because it was purchased on Amazon. Which I don’t understand how that’s legal since they obviously sell all of their products through Amazon. I would look elsewhere. Not only was a huge pain to set up and took several weeks to finally get it to work right with android, the fact they they advertise a one-year warranty but only if you buy it through thier website is misleading at best, dishonest and deliberate at worst. Never again for me.

This connects pretty reliably. Most of the time in under 20 seconds. If I use my remote starter it is connected by the time I get in the car. It did refuse to connect once but unplugging it and plugging it back in got it back to working. It was working inconsistently at first but I realized I still had the regular Bluetooth connection set up and that was causing issues. Deleting the regular Bluetooth connection made a huge difference.

Funciona bastante bien, aunque por momento tiene algun corte no demasiado frecuente en el enlace (no es todos los dias y lo uso siempre).

Not the smoothest setup. Went well enough when setting up in my 2023 Forester, but the second one I got for my wife's 2017 CR-V took a lot of trouble shooting before I got it working.Overall, works great once you get it up and running, but getting it actually up and running leaves much to be desired.

The Carlinkit 5 Wireless Adapter for CarPlay/Android Auto is one of the very few products I’ve purchased that works exactly as described. It worked so well that I almost didn’t believe it was actually connected. I’ve been involved in car audio since the 1980s so I’m a bit jaded. I’ve installed many products that promised convenience but didn’t quite deliver due to the workarounds required to get the most out of them. The Carlinkit 5 is one of the rare products that just works.Installation is simple. I’m using CarPlay but the procedure is the same for Android Auto. Simply plug the Carlinkit into your car’s USB port used for CarPlay. Once the adapter has booted (which takes only a few seconds), open Bluetooth settings and pair with adapter. After a few more seconds CarPlay will appear as an option in your car’s entertainment center, just select and that’s it! Now I have wireless CarPlay for a fraction of the cost that auto manufacturers charge, which can exceed $1000 depending on make & model.I chose the Carlinkit 5 because it was very highly rated and Carlinkit has designed and produced several generations of similar products. They are an established vendor. There were cheaper solutions available, but it’s unclear how they well they perform? The savings would have only amounted to $20 or so.I have no affiliation with Carlinkit, this is the first product I’ve used from them and couldn’t be happier. Vendors who offer great products deserve our praise, as so few seem to deliver on their promises. I can’t recommend Carlinkit enough to folks interested in adding wireless CarPlay or Android Auto to their car. The simplicity of setup and low cost make it the easy choice.
