The first time I bought a deck of plastic tarot cards, I fell in love with how they feel. The cards are thin but durable - they won't wear at the edges like a thin cardboard card would. Yes, they are slippery to hold until you get used to them, but they glide over each other when you shuffle them - a very satisfying feeling. They have a nice weight to them and I have to say...shuffling them feels kind of therapeutic!This particular deck has a red and gold color scheme with shiny foil backgrounds. The images are traditional Rider-Waite-Smith, so if you're familiar with those cards you'll be able to work with these easily. The back sides of the cards are beautiful - gold and green floral images. They come in a sturdy cardboard box with a flip-top lid and magnetic closure. For about $13, these foil/plastic decks are a great value!The only slightly weird thing with this particular deck is how the cards are red/gold, but the storage box is a bubble gum pink color. It kind of clashes! But not a big deal in the long run. If you haven't tried a plastic deck yet, I encourage you to give them a shot for a different tactile feel. They even sound cool when you shuffle!

I really love how they look but you can't even hold them! Shuffling, holding, spreading, it's all very difficult! I've had waterproof cards before and they were NOT like this! Wish I'd gotten just regular ones...

This deck is something else, and not in a good way. The positives are the cards are waterproof, slick, and flexible making them easy to shuffle; the design on the back is cool; and there's enough info to get someone started. However, I would be embarrassed to use this deck or give it to someone else. While a lot of decks use or embellish the Rider Waite images, this deck just puts an ornate frame around the RW images, cutting off a lot of the original details. The colors are muted and darker than depicted in the description. Lastly, the booklet is riddled with grammatical errors, including shifting fonts in the same paragraph, and it only gives the reversed meaning of the major arcana. Don't waste your money on this deck.

This is a quality deck using traditional imagery and symbols to make it compatible with most books you would typically read. All this makes it great for beginners and the more practiced as well. The foil effect on the cards is a really nice touch that will help them to feel a bit more special and to stand out from other decks. The cards have a good feel to them that doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. The print is clear and the cards are easy to see despite having a limited color pallet used in the images themselves. All in all this is a great set of cards with a unique aesthetic that would be a great buy for either personal use or as a gift.

These are extremely beautiful cards! They are holographic and built to really sturdy material. They are kind of slippery and easy to drop, but it’s just because of the holographic material. Qualities actually really really good in the image on each card are absolutely absolutely beautiful
