I use it to connect my power bank to my Zoom F8n pro recorder

The first time I ordered one of these it worked perfectly with a Sherpa100AC and a Zoom F4, and I have also used it with a MixPre 10ii. So I ordered a second one, and it came faulty, no voltage at all, so I sent it back and asked for a replacement. The replacement delivers 20V instead of 12V, luckily I realized this fast enough not to damage any of my recorders but still... unreliable.

This works fine, just note that you'll need to ensure that your USB-C PD power bank you want to use with this can explicitly supply 12v. Some can only supply up to one of 9V/12V/15V/20V . While technically they're supposed to support voltage steps below their max voltage, I have a fairly recent Anker "PowerCore Slim 10000 PD" model A1231 that does NOT support 12v, only 5v/9v/15v, so it doesn't work with this cable to power my Zoom F8n Pro. Two other larger USB-C PD power banks work fine, one from HYPER and another from Anker. Also, I get that 12v is probably more universal, but a 15v version of this cable might be good too, since the Zoom stuff and e.g. a MixPre-10 II can accept 9-18v and 10-17v on their Hirose DC inputs, respectively. I'm not sure how these power packs are wired internally, but lithium polymer batteries are typically 3.7v nominal, so a pack with 4 cells in series would be around 14.8v. Hopefully these power banks have actual conversion happening internally to output 12v from what is essentially a 15v pack, but I'm not positive and doing so would lower the efficiency, especially if a second phase of conversion is happening on the mixer side. It'd be interesting to A/B test the same battery + same mixer on 12v vs 15v USB-C PD cables to see if there's a substantial difference.
