Wow, unbelievable how this much quality is only $48. I bought some other cheapo brand around the same price and it was awful. This Cayer is incredible, feels really solid and functional. Hopefully it will stand the test of time, I usually only buy Manfrotto because they last forever. At this price I bought 2 more K10 and I feel like I found some glitch in the Matrix and the price will double any minute now.

This is a good product and if you're thinking of buying it I say go for it if you're trying to save money and already have a tripod. If you don't already have a good tripod, it's not a convenient product because you can buy complete kits at a slightly higher cost.Furthermore, the seller is serious and available in case of problems, excellent after-sales service. The video head has smooth movements in azimuth but when you set the clutch force to lower levels the movement is jerky (not smooth on horizontal pans). If you increase the friction it's all ok but be careful because the grease used inside the video head changes consistency and fluidity during use.It is not a professional product but it is certainly a better quality product than many other similar products. It doesn't have friction adjustment for vertical tilt but the braking force is good.I agree with those who say that 10kg is the weight limit, it is better to work with systems no heavier than 5kg.I am satisfied with the product, absolutely satisfied but if you are looking for a professional product this is not what you need. And the same goes for brand name products that are pretty much the same thing as this one.

I do videography full time and have been using my video tripod so much, yet I need a second tripod without spending much money as this would be a backup. But I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and met with a heavy-duty yet smooth friction, just like my Benro fluid video head. In some ways, the fluid system work slightly better as the friction adjustment knob turns at a constant rate. And the easy popup release for the camera base is an excellent design. No need to loosen the knob then have to push a button, then slide the camera out. With this head, I simply loosen the dial and push the button, and the whole camera releases to the left easily. It's even easier after it's released as the camera with the plate goes in, clicks, and the knob on the side gets tightened. This doesn't have a big circular adjustment knob or fancy anything, but it works. I didn't expect such quality for this price range. I have not found anything wrong with it either. I'm using this with my carbon Leofoto which will be the perfect setup when I have to travel and carry-on size is limited or I don't need my large video tripod for shooting things locally.

First impressions: After trying several cameras of different weights and form factors, I was impressed at how well this works for the price.Even with my heaviest ENG camera on it, it performed well. The tilt axis was able to smoothly dampen the weight of a full size broadcast camera when properly balanced and the knob offers pretty fine control of the tilt locking mechanism. I was able to go hands-off without fully locking the tilt axis. The camera did not move while hands-off and I was able to return to tilting without noticeable jitter. The pan axis works smoothly and is highly adjustable. It worked well with a variety of camera weights and form factors, offering finer control than the tilt axis. This is the feature that motivated my purchase the most and it works as advertised.I have used smoother video heads- but they cost a lot more. This looks like a well-designed and well-manufactured piece of gear. I like the baseplate quick release mechanism with tilt-in functionality and locking pins. The knobs are well thought out. The telescoping handle is a nice feature.Time will tell if it holds up to the task. So far, so good.
