A fuser gone bad means toner gone everywhere. Not pretty. Not fun. Only colorful to my son who saw it before I rushed him from the office for fear of toner inhalation - so it's a safety thing as well. If the toner doesn't fuse you don't have printed sheets. You have sheets covered in powder that goes everywhere after exiting the failing/failed unit.This fuser replacement kit works and works well. Everything fuses properly and nothing is dust-in-the-wind, so to speak. And the replacement of the kit is very straightforward by following the fairly decent instructions - there are also videos of how to do this if you search them out, and all I found seem pretty good also if you're better at following a video than printed instructions (and sometimes it's best to just see something done and do likewise).In under a half hour I had a fresh fuser unit installed and all the little bit parts ("wearables") replaced as well. I just replaced everything that came in the kit with the new one, just to be on the safer side. Good kit and functions beautifully. I recommend it!
