I'm sorry to be that way. However, it's the hole that the cigarettes go through that's the problem. The main reason that I've used that common black, "Butt Bucket," for years, is that a cigarette doesn't have to be smashed down over and over in order to extinguish it. Instead, when a cigarette is just about finished, the still lit cigarette butt can just be put through the hole and it will almost immediately extinguish itself. And another reason is because it tremendously decreases the lingering cigarette smell compared to an open ashtray.However, when putting a still lit cigarette butt through the hole in THIS ashtray? Almost every time it continues to burn and smoke will continuously come up through the hole. This also lets A LOT more cigarette odor out than the Butt Bucket does.Don't get me wrong though. I do recognize that this ashtray has some excellent features. The slots around the rim hold a cigarette better than anything else that I've used before. The fact that the silicone can endure extreme temperatures and should never warp is a VERY nice feature. And the area of the ashtray that's above the hole is MUCH deeper than that same area is on the Butt Bucket. Which means less ashes will become scattered around the ashtray.So to the makers of this ashtray, all you really need to do is make the holes on them just BARELY larger than the diameter of a cigarette. Then they would be the most awesomest ashtrays ever!

This XSBAIHUO Stylish silicone ashtray looks great, just like the picture's. I've never had a silicone ashtray before and it's , well feels like soft silicone, so I'm sure it will last awhile. It's a nice size making emptying every 10 minutes a thing of the past.
