strainers can be a pain but this makes it so easy!

My typical system of straining boiling water over the sink: insulated gloves on both hands, holding the strainer in one hand while dumping the steaming food into it while leaning back as far as possible so steam doesn't hit my face.This ingenious strainer and colander eliminates most of that. Simply dump the food into it with it sitting on the counter from a safe distance. When it cools a little, turn the handle to dump out the water while the food remains horizontally in the strainer.I find this to be about $5 more than it should cost since I would like to be able to position a longer handle on either side (the handle on the back is a little awkward to use and steam may burn your hand when water enters the sink) but this is a good unit to consider otherwise.My rating system:5 Stars = Knocks it out of the park. A great value!4 Stars = Excellent product. A solid buy.3 Stars = It provides some value, but perhaps not as advertised.2 Stars = A little dubious, so do your research. Read the critical reviews!1 Star = Avoid this product and look elsewhere.

The Chef's Path strainer and colander set I have found to be very functional. It strains all the water off your food and it is nice that you can put it back and have the colander to catch the last of the water that comes of foods, especially your pasta! That little bit of water that remains in the bottom of the pan when you use just a strainer and then put it back in the pan can be so annoying and if you have a sauce it can thin your sauce. This is a really nice feature for all kinds of foods. If you are washing your food you can drain the water also without removing the strainer and having to worry about having to manage the strainer and dumping the water.I am finding this to be very useful. I have washed it in the dishwasher and it came out just like it went in. It was easy to hand wash also. I like this strainer and if you have space to keep it, it can be very handy.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or is not priced where it should be for the product.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable. It has some faults, but the quality is adequate for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable; it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

This is exactly what I was looking for but it had to go back because the draining holes were very big.
