I wish GM had thought of this! This little piece has given me headaches for a long time. The other fixes I tried lasted only a few months at best. It is hard to get at this thing, so it is even better that I have not had to mess with it since I replaced the original plastic-only style with this one.

Fixed my problem right away, high quality brass ball. It fit with no problems at all, no tools needed just snaps into place.
