I (wrongly) assumed that my old vintage Royal typewriter was obsolete because the ribbon was so dried out and tattered that it would no longer print anything. Then I saw this product and I couldn't wait to try it..... and it works! It fits! And my old typewriter is in use again, an escapee from obsolescence and with any luck, will remain that way for a long time. I am extremely pleased to have found this replacement ribbon!

The text produced by this ribbon is very readable. It fit my 1960's Olympia typewriter perfectly and replaced an old, dried out ribbon.The only possible issue I have, which may be my typewriter itself (I don't have another one to try the ribbon on), is that the ink is a little smeary when first put on the paper, especially the red half.In summary, it's a standard two-color typewriter ribbon, and it does what it says it will do.

I went back and forth on amazon on what ink ribbon to buy because reviews for all of them were all over the place, but I’m happy to say that this was a solid purchase, just loaded it up in my 1964 Smith-Corona Sterling Typewriter and it worked like a charm! This is a solid ink ribbon choice and I will be ordering from them again!Great price also!
