Yeah, it says to treat your wood before applying...but let me tell you, it still sticks even if you haven't. The grit is fantastic, and holds up really well when the ramp is wet. None of us have slipped since putting applying it.

I purchased this for two reasons. First was for my Glock 48mos hand gun. It is for a better grip on the gun. It worked great so far. The second is for anti slip on my steps. My new deck boards (pressure treated) wood is extremely slippery in cold weather (icey). It's currently too cold to apply. I'll need to wait for warmer weather. The adhesive seems really strong and the texture is like 80 grit sandpaper.

I have a ladder that I put this onto and it works amazing. Definitely feel safer. The durability is great as I put it on the stairs also because my dog is getting up there and it helps him from sliding. I don't know why it is asking me about a glow, but I didn't notice a glow to it lol. Easy to put on whatever you might need it on and the adhesion is insanely good. I will be buying more in the spring. It's worth the money to add a little safety to ladders, stairs etc.

Overall, it seems good. Stuck well. It was 8 inches short so i had to do one row shorter than the rest. You can see it at the top of my picture. I rounded the corners after I cut them to improve the look. I had to cut a small slit lower along the edge to get a square corner to be able to get the backing pealed up. Could not peal it back on the rounded corners. Not sure how it works in icy conditions yet. Grips good now. if something changes on how it holds up and works, I will update the review.

The price was great. But when I went to peel the tape all the paper did not come off. Then when I went to put it on the steps it did not adhere. There was no glue on the other side.
