My older cat wasn't the issue but the 1 year old was, this stopped her and got her to use her scratching pads.Edit: after having these on our couch for a little less than a year, we went toremove them, they pulled out couch threads and left the couch with hanging weave. So I guess while it is good they stay on they also create damage coming off, My only complaint, so I would suggest changing often?

I'm honestly not sure how to rate this product. On the one hand, it did exactly what it said it would - It stopped my cat from scratching up the corners of my couch, was easy to apply/remove, etc. However, shortly after my cat discovered that she could no longer scratch the couch, she decided to put her entire mouth around a corner of it and crunch down, right through the sticker. So if you have a cat that enjoys recreational biting... maybe try a different product!
