For whatever reason home builders insist on putting the garbage disposal switch in the cabinet under the sink in an island. They say it is for safety. You have to open the door find the switch located almost out of reach to turn on the garbage disposal. Your hands are still wet to flip a switch that is directly connected to power. Not too safe. This air switch is a safe method that you can place it in the countertop near the sink to activate the garbage disposal. No electrical contact for wet hands or splashing.

Installation was a breeze. Plugged it in and working fine.No problem with leaks and safe since there’s no electricity at the counter switch.

We put this air switch in the hole for the hand sprayer on our old sink. It works great and is very functional. Easy to work and install.
