This was a lower cost than the whirlpool branded part and I had no problem installing it. I heard it start making ice about 6 hrs after I had it installed.

This fixed my non-functioning ice maker. There is an adapter harness that came with it that fit perfectly. One wire had to be cut and spliced using a supplied connector and heat shrink. Other than that it was pretty straight forward and now the fridge is producing ice again.

PRO's- Relatively easy to install- Perfect fit even though it's not OEM- Worked like a charm once installed- Less expensive over OEMCON's- Failed just shy of 5 months. I was expecting years of service out of it. :(
