I bought this little stove after reading and watching a number of reviews and was pretty excited to try it out. You can't beat the size, being only a bit larger than a deck of cards. However, as I was waiting for it to arrive I started to find a number of youtube videos and blogs about the "hexamine" tablets it comes with and the toxicity of using them (ie they give off formaldehyde and can contaminate your food and they smell so bad you can't store them in your pack, even sealed in a bag). This confused me because the company advertises the fuel tablets as odorless, smokeless and non-toxic, which is why I bought this stove and two extra boxes of fuel tablets. When the box arrived, before even opening it I checked for the odor people talked about (since they said it can be detected even when completely sealed)- there was no odor. Even when I opened the box, no odor. Pretty happy, I tried it out wanting to see how long it would take to cook my coffee in a mocha pot. I used three tablets and it cooked the coffee in 4 1/2 minutes, even using cool water on a cool night. Pretty impressive. The tablets continued to burn with a decent flame for 8 minutes and dissipated after 9 as mentioned on the box. It was really sturdy and opened fully, accommodates a frying pan nicely. Next time I would only use two tablets, because the tablets give off a lot of heat and the stove design allows for maximum use of the heat. I loved it. And, best of all, there was no odor at all. Other reviewers also mentioned a nasty sticky residue it leaves on your cook wear which concerned me. Once I drank my delicious brew, I cleaned the mocha pot- which was black on the bottom from this use. It wasn't sticky at all and cleaned up really easy.I love this little stove and sure, it has it's time and place for use. That is what it is designed for after all. I bought it as a back up to my other stoves I have and to take with me on winter day hikes for a quick heat up of some hot soup and fresh coffee in the bush. I think the price of the extra tables, especially as an amazon add on, can't be beat.It is easy to see why, with products like this, it can become addictive adding new stoves and cookware to your kit lolI highly recommend this little stove and look forward to experimenting cooking lunch and breakfast on it.

Serves the purpose, which is use as light weight stove for camping or emergencies. Light for BOB, would say it's OK.
