An excellent fan! I would have given it 4.5 stars, if I could've figured out how to assign the 1/2 star. I reduced my review from five stars to four because the reassuringly sturdy, grounded plug comes attached to a cord that, while thick, is way too short, IMHO ... It's barely four feet long.Everything else is great. The fan is REALLY powerful, and nice and quiet, too. The base and handle designs are sturdy and ergonomic, and I like the clean, minimalist feel of the design.Definitely recommend!

Last summer, I jettisoned my beloved Air King 12-inch industrial fan with almost similar configuration as this Comfort Zone high-velocity fan. I believed I bought the Air King brand from Walmart on sale around $30 about 10 years ago. Yes, it had served me so well. In fact, it was still running great and my only problem with that Air King was a broken switch after years of abuse lol. I can still operate the unit but I would have to use a plier and it would work sometimes, and at times no. I asked for quote on repair but realized that the repair cost for a switch is insane so I threw out the whole unit since my building AC had started running then. During dog days of summer, I like using an electric fan for air circulation in my apartment unit to complement the building AC.Fortunately, Amazon sells Air King brand as well. At Walmart, it is no longer available. For me though, the current selling price of Air King brand is just ridiculous a.k.a. way too expensive for me. Thankfully, I found this Comfort Zone brand with a number of good reviews. I am more than satisfied with this purchase and therefore I would like to add to the positive reviews. The Pros:- moves a humongous amount of air- quiet operation for a high-velocity fan; 3 fan speeds- even the fastest speed is relatively quiet (a pleasant white noise for those wanting to sleep with fan)- the plug gives you the opportunity to replace the fuse in case of short circuit (I have no idea that electric fans these days have accessible fuse for overcurrent protection)- this 12" fan is so handy you could move it around easily; lightweight but sturdy- as to performance , I give a 10 out of 10 for both Comfort Zone and Air King- here's the jackpot, I got this on sale at $54.85- even with regular pricing this is still more economical than an Air King brandThe Cons:- I am hoping to add broken switch after 10 years lolDon't wait till summer. Buy now. I highly recommend this product. Finally, on another note, I just want to give a shoutout to Intelcom Courier. For all my purchases with Amazon using Intelcom as courier, they have performed so well in every delivery definitely outperforming Fed-Ex and Purolator. If Amazon would conduct a survey on performance of couriers, here's my ranking:1) Intelcom Courier2) Purolator3) Fed-Ex

This fan is powerful and can effectively move a lot of air, I love it! Our kitchen gets really hot when we turn on the oven, and since the kitchen is long and narrow one side of the kitchen is usually unbearably more hot than the other. We use this fan to help circulate the air more, and it seems to help! The breeze from the fan feels cold, and it helps to cool things down. It’s nearly silent on the 1st speed, and the noise increases slightly on the second and third speeds, but it’s still tolerable. Still, the fan puts out a lot of air even on the 1st speed.

NOTE: I bought this fan as a warranteed, refurbished item for $10.00 less than the new item's sale price. It came in perfect working condition- not a scratch on it, had all original packaging & materials (including user-manual), so it was entirely indistinguishable from a brand-new product.REVIEW: This fan really blows!I am very pleased with this fan so far, based off of my initial, immediate use of it. It outputs very fast/strong airflow even when on the lower settings (especially when considering its small size), the 360 degrees swivel feature is great as it allows you to rotate the fan to face fully upwards, which circulates the air extremely effectively generally speaking & specifically in our master bedroom despite our ceiling & HVAC vents being almost 20 feet high in there- the highest power setting is like a hurricane made landfall in our bedroom. It operates almost silently on the lowest setting & with more, (yet tolerable) noise on medium power, but on the highest power setting, it is really loud. That's the single "mini-complaint" I have, however, I'd expect that to move so much air so quickly that you couldn't do it quietly. I'd wager given the price I paid that you could not find a better quality fan- maybe one of an equal quality, but not better. So given its massive air output coming from a unit so small (12" diameter), which operates with an expected/acceptable level of noise, but is built with solid metal construction & components, I'd highly recommend it for home use- especially if you're lucky enough to save about 25% off the Amazon Prime price by buying a refurbished unit.
