The point of having an automatic coffee maker is to have coffee ready for me after I wake up. This thing will blare so loud that our entire home can hear it three rooms away, thus waking up other people in the house and making the dogs nervous.Then it's got to beep when you manually make coffee. Then it's got to beep some more when it's done. I didn't think I had sensitivity to noises, but geeez... who decided to add an airplane level beep to this thing?

Have two of these coffee makers and have been very happy with all of their features, especially the timer. Nice to wake to freshly brewed coffee. Also saves money by not requiring the “brew cups”.
