Not much to love about this, unfortunately. The plastic is far too thin and low-grade. The sunglass door latch feels like it is about to break. The door opening function is not very smooth and the LED map lights do not function like the original. They pulse and do not activate with the switch. The current LED retrofits I have work significantly better and I put those back in. These LEDs are clearly not for this truck. My guess is this will not hold up well but if it does I might add back a star.

Both LED bulbs strobed rapidly when turned on. Had to use original bulbs, definitely issue with circuitry. Other than that its just fine but shouldn’t cost $100 for a piece of plastic!

First, the good. The plastic is sturdy, the color matches, and it compares to the OEM in quality. Fits perfectly and everything lines up in my 2002 Ram 1500 pickup. Installation was easy, just two Torx screws (T15 or T20, I forget which) in the cubby where the sunglasses are and the whole thing comes down while pulling gently on the back clips. Then undo the two wiring harnesses - one to the info display and one to the lights.Four Philips head screws head hold in the info display to the old piece.Once you have that done, assembly is the reverse. In all, it took 10 minutes or so, and some of that was walking in the garage to get my tools.Now, the bad - the lights are pretty bright, but they flicker (strobe is more like it) and that is just not useful. Not sure if they're having trouble with the dimmer or what, but that is an issue since almost all dome lights dim.One other reviewer says he solved by replacing with standard bulbs, but if not for wanting brighter light, I could have done that without getting a new console. The whole point was the LEDs pre-wired, so there isn't much value if they don't work.

I was a little disappointed in this product for the price.The materials to me seemed lower quality than that of the OEM parts. The plastic was lighter and less rigid, nearly fragile. The sunglasses door seemed much more clunky and not at all smooth. The lights.... just kinda weird. It just had an over all cheap feel to it.This is not an easy upgrade from the non-sunglass storage console. If you do not already have the sunglass door and are trying to upgrade with this you will have to cut a hole in the headboard and purchase the long mounting bracket.For the price I was expecting more.
